Socarras was really killing it until that draw he got a few months back

but none of them are on the gamboa, rigo, lara , hernandez type of level
Rances is okay, but I just don't see him becoming a star. He should have a solid career, though. Barthelemy remains unbeaten in fifteen fights.

Some people seem to be high on Ugas. I watched a couple of his early fights and thought he was "just okay." Maybe he's improved. Like Barthelemy, I don't foresee Ugas reaching the highest levels of the sport. He, too, is undefeated (11-0).

Socarras is really young (only 19). He has a lot of time and room to improve. It's awesome that Hairon got to spar with Rigondeaux. Spending time around top-flight boxers can only help him evolve.

The guy that I'm currently most excited about is Angelo Santana. (Maybe because I just learned about him. lol) So far, the only thing I'd like to see from him is a touch more power. Santana appears to have the tools, otherwise. Angelo is 12-0.

Ismaikel "Mike" Perez (18-0) is a promising heavyweight, but he's short (6'0"). He's been fighting in Ireland, but had his last fight in California. In today's heavyweight division, a guy like Perez has a chance against anyone not named Klitschko.

You're right, though; I don't see anyone promising to be another Gamboa, Rigondeaux or Lara. But Hernandez surprised me. Maybe one of the younger Cubans we've been talking about will turn out to be a pleasant surprise as well.

I would agree with Luis Garcia, plus he is in a LOADED DIVISION at 175, plus him being able to defect at a much younger age is allowing him to take his time and develop AS A PRO...same for Ugas and Socarras, compared to the others who are trying to fast forward their Careers because they are in their Late 20's and early 30's of age like Lara, Gamboa and Rigondeaux
