Agree about the ducking thing. Only Sergio's hardcore fans or hardcore Floyd or Manny haters can say Floyd or Manny are ducking Sergio. He's still a solid Middleweight and they are still Welterweights. Floyd fighting Cotto at 154 is interesting, because that's the ideal weight where Mayweather-Martinez could happen. I hope it does, if May-Pac doesn't, but I doubt it will.

Sergio and Lou both said "Who is Pirog? All he's done is beat a decent guy in Jacobs", than they turn around and fight Darren Barker, who's done NOTHING. Pirog's fight with that French guy was post poned I believe till after April, he wouldn't really be available in the summer, if Sergio wants to fight again in the summer. I'd like to see Sergio fight in March, July, and December this year. March against Macklin, July against Geale, Proksa, or Golovkin. Than, fight Lee in December if he beats Julio, or Quillin.

Sergio can make his legacy by cleaning out 160 and than moving up for challenges with Ward, Bute, Dirrell Bro's, at Super Middleweight. That's how he should make his legacy, not calling out Welterweights and than fighting guys like Darren Barker.

I wouldnt have much of a problem with that. I'd like to see him fight Golovkin I have heard he has looked very good in his last couple fights.

And I agree about him moving up to 168, he and his camp have said several times they were not going to move up, but Sergio has had problems with making weight in the past. I would love to see a Martinez-Ward fight at 168, that could be a great fight.

Gamboa is already top 15-20 imo I would certainly put him at the bottom half of the top 10 if he beats Rios. That would be a major accomplishment.

Gamboa is P4P Top 5 with a win. A dominant win.

Hes moving up 2 Classes and challenging the number 1 guy. Oh and no catch weight either.

          Top 5.

He has dominated everyone at Super Middleweight with rather ease, beating Kessler, Abraham, Green, and Froch, who were all suppose to be really tough fights. And now we have certain people on here discrediting Andre, saying Carl Froch was never that good to begin with. He and Andre were the top 2 SMW in the world and Ward whooped him handily, more so than the scorecards indicated to me at least. Andre is right about Bute fighting someone like Froch first. Bute's best wins are still Andrade, Mendy, and Johnson, not that great. If Bute beats Froch, it makes a showdown with Ward that much bigger.

Sergio probably should have fought Matthew Macklin last October instead of Darren Barker. He had the draw with Cintron, who he really beat and Cintron was still pretty good in 09'. Than, he had the close loss to Williams, but I felt Williams won that fight as well. Than, he beat Pavlik, who had rebounded his 2 fights prior to Sergio. Than, he avenage his loss to Paul Williams. The Dzinziruk win was pretty good to me, not great or anything. Darren Barker was not a good fight though, he should have fought Macklin then or Pirog. After Macklin, if he can't get the Mayweather fight, he should clean out 160. Fight 2 more times in 2012 after Macklin, against Pirog, Geale, or Quillin, and than Lee if he beats Julio, because we know Julio isn't going to fight Sergio.

Macklin isn't really a scrub. If Macklin is a scrub, than most all of the MW division is scrubs. Macklin really beat Sturm and really should be the WBA Middleweight champion, but Germany robbed him. Macklin is a legit fight, Sergio just should have fought him last October, instead of Darren Barker.

But I feel what you're saying.
donaire has a better resume than andre ward. how did ward dominate everyone at smw when he didnt fight bute and dirrel yet? wtf? he dominated some contenders, similar to nonito's decent wins. nonito ktfo's 2 top 10 pfp types.

i love how everyone says his resume is ok if you take away his 2 best wins...

shi t if you take away ward's 2 best wins, what do you have? allan green and sakio bika? and neither of his top 2 are close to donaires. take away sergio's and his best wins are freakin dizzy and whatever.

donaire is a top 5 current pfp if resume means anything at all.

if he kept fighting dudes talor made for him he'd have more ktfo's.

the best "boxer" ward beat is kessler, who has a nice 1-2 and 1-2-hook. big fookin whoop. nonito has fought way more styles and won more impressively. jmm, pac, floyd, clearly have the best resumes but nonito can't be more than 3 spots behind.

Even without Donaire on that list (I dunno what happened to Nonito, he doesn't appear on their P4P lists), I don't see Yuri replacing any of those guys. Who do you see Gamboa replacing?
If Gamboa win he can replace Bute or Bradley. If Bradley wins in June he will be moving into the list anywhere between 4-6 IMO.

Gamboa beating Rios means something. Rios beating Gamboa means nothing.

btw, at which weight have they agreed upon?

Edit: nevermind, it's for the vacant WBC LW

What weight does Gamboa walk around at cause I am trying to figure out the fight night weight difference. We know Rios is gonna come in at 150+ like he did in the Peterson fight. Was Rios less than 150 on fight night for his fight with Antillion?
