Gifted + hard trainer= elite athlete

Training hard alone is not going to make Floyd what he is

I don't expect anything but the best Cotto for this fight. Glad he is already training. Just to point out to some of you there's is no such thing as "over training". There is how ever ineffective training such as weight draining. I'm a body builder so I know there's no such thing as over training. Training is a combination of exercise, nutrition, supplement intake and rest. A person can train as much as they want as long as everything else is in place. Since he is a professional athlete and can afford to have experts guiding him I see no problem with an eleven week training program. Expect the best Cotto because this fight can lead to even bigger money . Rematch with either Pac or Floyd. We know what motivates Cotto and the rest of the world.

Floyd is going up to 54...Cottos comfortable weight, point I'm making is that if Cotto gets his @$$ completely handed to him I don't wanna hear the "he over trained BS"...

Overtraining syndrome frequently occurs in athletes who are training for competition or a specific event and train beyond the body's ability to recover. Athletes often exercise longer and harder so they can improve. But without adequate rest and recovery, these training regimens can backfire, and actually decrease performance.

Conditioning requires a balance between overload and recovery. Too much overload and/or too little recovery may result in both physical and psychology symptoms of overtraining syndrome.

Diaz has a PhD in physiology. He monitors how quickly Cotto's body recovers....did you see the Cotto/Marg 24/7?

Diaz will make sure he doesn't overtrain.

So your trying to say Floyd is over training?

U just confirmed what I posted. The term "overtrain" is what I'm pointing out. There's ineffective training because there's no proper nutrition, sup's, and rest.

The hope for Cotto in this fight is the new trainer. Cotto followed the Cubans instructions. Like Roach says, cubans are counter punchers, Pedro knows counter punching and therefore will come up with a plan to execute.

Because Jr is primarily a potshotter, 15 punches a round and goes to the ropes there won't be much damage shown on Cotto unless he just uses his head for a punchers mitt

                    therefore

He should last the fight and LOSE to Mayweather JR.

There will be few interesting rounds in the beginning.

                    Mayweather JR to win

IF Jr was serious and would fight like a sob then he might make Cotto QUIT Again.

Over-training is an excuse. Pro's usually don't fall victim to this unless there is a catch-weight or something. Cotto is not going all out right now, probably just keeping his conditioning up -- same way Floyd does all year round. PLD is probably working strategies - Like I said before -- they are going to take Margarito out and I was right. This time they are going to approach it different, but still study their opponent. They are studying how to avoid the right hand counter and how to come in and out with combos to break that defense. PLD got this; he and Cotto are sooo hungry it's not funny. I'm tired of hearing about Floyd training harder than anyone else, it's simply a matter of perspective, not a fact at all. Pacman was putting in like 8 hours at least in the gym. Tyson trained like a beast. Tim Bradley, Andre Ward, the Klitchko's -- all train like a monster -- you can't tell me you're so arrogant as to believe there can't be as possibility of fighters all over the world who never had 24/7 exposure, training as hard or harder than Floyd -- each person is different in how they push their bodies.
