Now please explain to me how PBF in that video or tweet did any of what too many people are claiming is racist.

I think Floyd is just bitter at the fact that blacks dont support thier athletes the way other cultures support thiers. I remember an interview he gave after the Hatton fight, he said he'd give anything to have the type of fans that Hatton had. He can play the heel all he wants and granted it works for him, but when he says the hate he recieves doesnt effect him.....that's a lie. Floyd wishes he was praised and loved.

Floyd is a great boxer But that's only because he's black. See how that comment is totally ignoring all the facts of how hard floyd work and train to get to where he's at? For floyd to say j.lin is good but all the hype is because he's Asian that's forgetting about all the work Lin put in to get to where he's at. That's like Saying Lin is only getting attention because he's Asian now lets forget abou all the work he has done.

by saying the hype is becuz he's asain he discredits what lin has done on the court. he further discredits it by saying black guys do this all the time, which is incorrect. lin has scored more points in his 1st 5 starts then anyone in the last 30 years.

It doesn't discredit it one bit. No one can change or take away what Lin has done on the court. But when you compare him to rookies who never played an NBA game and start from day one its not a fair comparison. Lin played NBA ball and in the D league last year. Jordan, Iverson etc started straight from day one. Not equal.

That said floyd comments are about the media hype, not Lin.

just saying that would have been fine, but by crediting the hype to lin's race he discredits what lin has done on the court. i agree the lins race plays a part in the hype but floyds remarks sounds like his race is the sole factor when clearly it is not

i talk about a varying type of stuff on the forum out of boredom at work, not just about this thread.

However Floyd doesnt tweet often, but this he felt the need to get out there. Whens the last time Floyd said anything positive in a tweet?

For a rich guy he doesnt seem very happy.

For him to go out of his way to make a comment about the attention a certain basketball player is getting. It's like floyd can never just give his credit and leave it at that. Floyd would say something positive then end it with something negative. The point I was making is that it's a basketball player floyd is talking about. Floyd is so insecure of a basketball player stealing the spotlight that's why he would say something like that. Floyd could have just say Lin is a great bball player and leave it at that. What's the point of the extra words about Lin being Asian? Like I said earlier this dude can never just give his full credit and leave it at that but he crys when people criticize him.

Again, he is criticizing the media coverage, not Lin. If you can't see that I don't know what else to say.
