He should understand that African American males dominate American sports. So to see an Asian rise through a pre-dominately black sport such as basketball is a feat in itself. Floyd don't think, I can see his lack of education showing out.

I didn't intimate race at all, in fact, you keep focusing on it. What I'm telling you, is that people are embracing Lin due to his circumstances, which apart from race, are quite unique for a sports figure. And to speak to your point about race being a constant factor throughout our history/media coverage, you're right. But in no way should that be used an excuse for not attaining something. Mayweather isn't in a unique position to talk about race, because he only embraces his own with laser like tunnel vision. All other races that don't embrace his way of thinking, are by default deemed as being "racist". He's a coward.
We totally agree on the bold.
Can't agree with the underlined though.

And I really like the guy.
The above comment is more of that "Everybody is a HOF'er" type of argument found on this site.Originally posted by Biolink View PostStop it please.
Talk to me when someone bothers throwing their entire team at Jeremy Lin for the whole game in order to stop him.
People need to realize that Rose only has 3 completed seasons and last year was his best in almost every stat category. This is while he has been averaging more than 37 minutes a game, and his career high is 42 points. Before this year, Lin averaged 9.8 minutes and just recently obtained a chance to shine. In that short amount of time, he played incredibly well. In his 4th game starting for the Knicks, he puts up 38 points (only 4 less than Rose's career high). That is impressive even before adding his ability to get assist. Anyone who thinks that he can't be compared to Rose if he keeps up the work are blinded by fandom.

If you guys took the time to actually read what I said, I stated that IF Lin keeps things up, he can be compared to Rose, which he could. Rose was last year's MVP; however, he isn't a consistent great yet.

I can see if Lin was on his 2nd season with putting up those same numbers then you could compare him to approaching Rose's level but after 4 games that doesn't make any sense. That is all I am saying. 4 games is no where near a large enough sample size to make that kind of comparison.
