I mean really, in a forum where I see guys give all kinds of man love to Canelo, Pacquiao and Cotto.(2 of which who have been beaten handily). GOAT is opinion. I think its as good of an opinion as any for Floyd to be in the conversation dont you think. He's untested because he's that good man.
THE REASON WHY ORHER FIGHTERS GET CREDIT IS BECAUSE HMMMM… let's use Cotto as an example. He never ducked, ran, or faked a retirement to avoid the best out there. Floyd had done all of the above to include a cheap shot KO when he felt a threat.

And I bet you can't name two who were relevant!! Just because he went through 6 divisions don't mean he fought any real competition. Fight Martinez then you will have an argument

I can't believe Chavez Jr has fans. I can understand how Amir Khan could have fans, but... WOW. Good for him.

That KO makes his resume better because he now has the recognition for being aggressive, mean, and having that killer instinct that he never had...That KO was WONDERFUL for a fighter like Floyd who u would never expect to be so animalistic in the ring...Im sorry but I very much dissagree

First point, logic doesn't work very well on this site, especially as it relates to Floyd Mayweather. If you aren't slandering him and idolizing the names you listed, you're going to be verbally assaulted and your posts picked over by drooling idiots who have no idea how to frame an argument or admit when they've lost one.

Second point, this site is one of the many havens of Mayweather hate, that's just the way it is and complaining about it, or gently pointing it out is as ineffectual as a eunuch in a room full of fresh twat. There seems to be a built in prejudice to Mayweather that has nothing to do with boxing. I'm not so foolish to think that Pacquiao's flatworms hate on Mayweather for a legitimate reason, no, it's the man in particular that they think little of and it’s evidenced by their relentless moronic postings.

Last point, Floyd Joy Mayweather's greatness is as clear as anything in the boxing world, but to those that are easily sidetracked by personas, they try to bend and twist reality to make everything he does unacceptable. That's when their arguments lose a lot of weight and become transparent attempts to attack the man. Once the man becomes the target we move out of the realm of rational discourse to the garbage we see everyday on this site.

I'd openly long for something else but I'd get little buy in from the Pacquiao obsessed....

Personally Im a big fan of Zags since you mentioned him. He is definitely ranked higher on my list than most. But in this conversation he doesnt belong because he hasnt had any where near the unblimished domination Floyd has had. Just on his ass too many times. Hell of a fighter though he receives much hate

But no, it's not fair to say he is the best of all time. I would pick Oscar, and Mosley in the 90's to beat the best Mayweather. Oh, and Castillo damned near did beat him.

that's why they fight the fights. Imagine if Ali or Robinson had gone undefeated? My god, no one in the history of combat would have stood a chance, mythically, with those two. But they fought the fights, they fought the best available to them, and they lost, as most do.

Favour Mayweather over everyone around his class all you want, but it's not always indicative. And it doesn't give him a W on his resume by default. And I'm a Floyd fan.
