Awsome fight for sure. Those who don't think so just don't know how complete Bradley really is. He could very well win this fight and Bob Arum knows this. I think Arum won't mind Pac losing to Tim cause Pac's about ready to retire anyways and sending Pac into retirement with only having to pay Tim 5 millions is better than having to share ppv revenue with Floyd on top of Manny getting beat by Floyd. Arum does not think Pac can beat Floyd and IF Tim beats him, Manny will retire and Tim will be the guy Floyd's scared of. If Manny wins it confirms that he can beat more than just come forward brawlers who have no real skills so it really is a win win for Top Rank if nobody else.

It means they were not gonna fight at 147 and they wernt gonna fight at 154... so Team PAc would go for a CW and Cotto wasnt down for that.
Hence the reason why i said at least Pac didnt ask Cotto to come down to 147!

cottos belt was at 154, what reason logically would he have to come down to 147? he fought foreman, mayorga and margarito at 154, all of the sudden hes gonna jump back down to 147? for what?

Pacquiao was able to sham his way into a catchweight fight of 150 against margarito yet he cant just fight at 154, an actual weight class against cotto? instead hes just going to pull someone from lightweight and have him fight at 147. why couldnt he just do this with cotto the first time? does every fighter who actually stands a chance against him have to have some sort of disadvantage coming in?

he could take on an aging mosley at 147 no problem, but with cotto he has to be weakened even though hes the one with the belt? come on.

you need a sationary number dont you? its to complicated for you. A catch weight is a weight both fighters are comfortable at. No more no less. eg...If one is at 143 and one is at 150 being where they are comfortable at they need a CW they both can agree on. I understand its hard for you to understand. Its eaiser just to understand them getting on a scale at one weight. increase your focus.

meeting in the middle made sense with say, whitaker chavez where whitaker was undisputed and so was chavez, one was lightweight king, the other welterweight king, so they met at 144 because they both had a stake in claiming they were on top.

but this is hardly the same in terms of impact and magnitude. cotto has no reason to drop to 147, like i said, pacquiao should have fought him at 147 3 years ago instead of (as usual) making up his own weight classes. the only time he seems to be comfortable taking on guys in their respective classes is if they are aged and beaten enough to where he feels he has little chance of losing. like when marquez had already showed signs of slowing down when he fought at 147. or when mosley was soundly beaten by floyd at 147.

lets see, fight mayweather who is a bigger draw and will offer a bigger purse and fight for an actual title at his actual weight class, or have pacquiaos team screw him again by having him come down in weight knowing damn well at this point for his body, it will take away from him. if anything pacquiao should just fight at 148 or 149 and let cotto weigh in at 154.

It is a good fight except for one thing bradley's history its gonna be bad for the people who go to see it and people who buy the ppv this fight will no doubt end early on june 9 not a ko victory for pac or bradley but because of an accidental headbutt pac will try to pop him on the inside while bradley will lead with his head just wait and see real talk.

didnt say i agreed or liked the idea....
but to answer your question...why before, is simple. Pac just fought hatton at 140 weighing in at 138. His next fight was Cotto. Not to mention his 2nd fight in his life over 140 lbs. in his life. Whos at he disadvantage here!!!!!!
Cotto weighed 145-146 for 8 fights...winning all but one at that weight. Manny only fought twice over 140 not exceeding 145...in his life !!!! Whos at the disadvantage. Its amazing how ones dislike of a fighter for whatever reason it is clouds the mind and makes the individual look bad.
