Hatin' is a sickness, let go... Pacquiao got to where he is by beating a$$. Tyson who was very well like wasn't much of a boxer after Rooney. People love to see beat downs and KOs... Not long drown out pot shot contest. There are boxing fans that like 25 punches per round and defense and others should respect that and there are others who like to see beat downs and KOs... Even if certain fighters fought the same fighters as Pac on the same nights maybe they would have won but they wouldn't have won in the fashion that Pac won. In baseball they like the HR, in football they like the long TD, in basketball they like the 40 point game, and in boxing they like the KO, blood, and beat downs... Defense is important in all those sports but everyone likes offense... So fans of certain fighters don't understand why this man who is not an Afro American or Mexican but yet an Asian became the most popular fighter in the world.... Don't blame Manny that the casual fans and certain hardcore fans would rather see Manny's KO over Hatton vs. Floyd KO over Hatton or Manny's KO over Oscar versus Floyd's decision over Oscar... Defense is great but most fans like offense... That's why guys who aren't blood and guts warriors have to behave like clowns to sell themselves. Floyd, Paulie M., and Amir Kahn while other guys just go about their business and let their ability to excite fans speak for themselves Paquiao, Cotto, Mosley, Trinidad... you need a sationary number dont you? its to complicated for you. A catch weight is a weight both fighters are comfortable at. No more no less. eg...If one is at 143 and one is at 150 being where they are comfortable at they need a CW they both can agree on. I understand its hard for you to understand. Its eaiser just to understand them getting on a scale at one weight. increase your focus.

Weighing in 1lb lighter than his previous fight isnt asking Cotto sacrifice that much. What about the weight advantage Cotto had on fight night? Funny how nobody brings that up! People seem to forget that Pac is actually a LWW that fights at WW. On one hand they wanted Pac to face JMM @ 140, then turn around and ask why cant he move up to 154 to face the likes of Cotto and Martinez! LOL.

It's not that people believe Pac has to be at a disadvantage, it's that he wants HIS OPPOSITION to give into his demands because he's the mythical #1 P4P. The boxing public is exhausted with Team Pac flexing their political muscle to constantly get what they want. Pacquiao is always getting accommodated because of the company he keeps. There was no legitimate reason to force Cotto to come in at 145, if as you say, "it's just 1lb lighter than his previous fight". Next fight, there's no catch-weight on Clottey, how come he didn't have to suffer one? After that, Margarito is forced to a 150 catch-weight, while Pac weighs in at about 144. Next fight, he fights a faded (arguably shot) Mosley, so there was no reason for Team Pac to utilize a catch-weight. Next fight, he fights JMM at a 144 catch-weight.
