England, and indeed Great Britain, has a wonderfully rich history in Boxing.

I wouldnt dream of insulting America for example, because they have no decent HWs - because their history is littered with exceptional HW fighters.

I know what the thread-starter means. I suppose you have to follow the British media to understand. There is the expectation that they'll win no matter how hard the task is, and when they lose the media bash them unrelentlessly.

I'm not keen on the British media in general. Especially after the hacking scandal.

football (soccer) MATE, is the best sport in the entire world. know one apart from americans give a **** about basketball and that crap u call american football. bunch of p*s*ys in a load of protective clothing stopping and starting every 3 seconds

american football is the most overhyped sport in the entire world. the actual game is actually super ****. take the cheerleaders and fireworks and special guest performances and all that chince away from the NFL and what are you left with???? nothing but an irritating game that has no flow what so ever, 2 seconds of play and 15 minutes of waiting arond and adverts

Hey don't knock "American" football. Too many of us Brits dismiss the sport due our own lack of understanding of it."American" football (I invert that because I don't want to insult our U.S friends) is a great sport!

Play Madden for a few months, pick up the basics and watch a game you'll enjoy it. When you begin to understand the basics you begin to understand what each individual is achieving on each play and it becomes a wonderfully technical game. Tactically it's mental! You think we analyse football well "American football" wipes the floor.

It's not a stop start game when you understand what they are doing. From a (live)spectators point of view the game is amazing. I loved every minute of Chargers Saints a few years back at Wembley (even though Chargers lost). Fantastic experience and overall a better experience than I had visiting Old Trafford and Anfield for premier league games......(they should have been amazing as I'm used to supporting Dundee FC haha)

I'm not a fan of basketball or baseball but do love hockey....
