What is the requirements of an ATG?

I have heard people saying about Manny being an ATG and Floyd too. Whats your requirements of an ATG?

Im not knocking either fighter here but i think they have cherry picked and ducked alot of fighters and for me that would have a detremental effect on what i would consider an ATG..

To me ATG IMO is probably the greatest 25 boxers of all time..

I genuinely dont knowif i could honestly say Manny was one of the 25 best fighters in history........

I could see Floyd slotting in 17-25...

This is my own opinion and in no way hating..

What are your requirements for an ATG and where would you place Floyd and Manny

top 25? That's a list that's nearly impossible to get in.

I think generally people consider ATG to be top 100. Which is an amazing accomplishment considering there are thousands of great fighters that spans over 100 years.

To me, ATG is Top 100 of all-time. I have Floyd and Manny around the Top 30.

Pacquiao is top 5. Floyd is top 50 cause nobody ducked as many fighters as Floyd.
I dont see how Pacquiao ducked anybody. when he fought de la Hoya the world thought Oscar would kill him. Then guys like Clottey, Cotto, Margarito, Hatton. Each time the boxing world knew Pacquiao is in a very dangerous fight and maybe even the underdog. look what he did.

          Right here.

You need a consistent career at a high level, titles help, though they are a bit watered down now.

You don't necessarily need to beat a ATG, but it helps.

Without sounding like a hater Manny ducked the full lightweight division when he took the fight with David Diaz

But is that not the point in it being called an alltime great? That its almost impossible to get into and its the creme de la creme of boxers?

not that I think pac is top 5 (lol), but he only had one fight at 135 so that's a silly thing to say considering he moved up and fought bigger & better names.

The plan was for pac to move up to 135. They tested the water fighting a safe fight with David Diaz. The plan was to stay there, however the crazy idea of fighting Oscar was brought up, then it became reality and the rest is history.
