How about we list the biggest robberies in the past decade and see who's promotional companies appears the most?

    I'll start

    Willams (Goosen) over Lara (GBP)

Guzman (GBP) over Funeka (Gary Shaw)

Diaz (GBP) over Malignaggi (Dibella or Goosen??)

Casamayor (GBP) over Santa Cruz (???)

Oscar De La Hoya (GBP) over Sturm (????)

Floyd Mayweather Jr (Top Rank) over Castillo (Top Rank)

Devon Alexander (Don King) over Kotelnik (Don King)

That's just off the top of my head and I'm sure I missed some.

just seems like arum has a lot of old money buddies there like jerry jones, who virtually runs the state from what ive heard.

And I remember something about Clottey came up involving $$ and Bob Arum.

And didn't he also come up to Marquez after Pac fight and say something really shady? Like "it's just the way it is, it's business" or something like that. (not saying he payed him to lose but just messed up stuff)
I just don't buy clottey being paid to loose. He would get more money if he were to win. So why do it?

Man, there's pretty much one robbery on every fight card. Please note that by the time you turn on your TV to watch the fight, five bouts have already occurred. Not sure what this is supposed to prove but anyway, everyone does it.

Now I don't get me wrong I was just about to state something along those lines, but I didn't want my reply to look like a Novel.

If anything I think if they went that route they would slide some no named judge into the mix to tilt the scoring towards a particular fighter.

              I can see that scenario.

The point I was making is that the very best in the sport aren't know for suspect judging, which is why the biggest fights should have the biggest named judges.

I don't think that's what occurred either. Clottey is Clottey - was anyone surprised by his performance? Not me. However, there are fighters who make the mistake of beating up a meal ticket and are shipped to the land of anonymity.

I agree. But remember - you have to start from somewhere. Some of these very big judges became big under dubious circumstances. And you can't keep using the same judges for every big fight unless you fight in the same state every time. Maybe that's why Mayweather won't leave Vegas.

I think most of you guys are confusing a close fight that could have gone the other way with robbery.

Everyone has there own way of judging fights and look for particular things. I don't count those as robberies.

For instance if one guy was pressing the fight and landed more punches, and the other guy was more accurate and the better counter puncher.....I can see a judge scoring the fight for the aggressor and the other judge scoring the fight for the counter puncher.

I'm not of those fans that cries conspiracy after every bout I see. IMO robberies are bouts in which a guy is clearly the dominate guy. Robberies like that hardly happen in the sport (maybe 1 or 2 fights per year at most).
