Larry gaves Nnonito a good shake. I don't get this. WV2 dosn't have an amateur career and He is critized beacuse no amateur experience. Rigo is 2X Olympic GM more than 400 amateurs fights and nine pro fights is already WC. But is critized because doesn't have pro fights and lack of experience. So which staments make more sense.

People need to understand the internet doesn't translate into real life. For example, Andre Berto has 50k follower on twitter while Chavez only has 30k followers. Guess who's the bigger draw?

That being said, I rather see Rigo instead of Arce, but there's a few guys I rather see than Rigo. Still doesn't change the fact that Rigo hasn't done much at all in his Pro career to be in a position to be demanding anything.

rigo now and the margarito back then...same scenario? what a dumbass comparison.

Did you read what he said in this current article at the end? He was actually serious and said "who would you rather see, Donaire vs Rigondeaux or Donaire vs Arce". Like how can that be a serious question. Who the **** is Arce?

Oh who would I rather see, the guy who has a 2% chance of winning in Arce, or the fight in which I have no idea how it would pllay out? The predictible fight or the intriguing fight?

            Merchant is trash.
He is a 3 division champ with more title defenses then rigo has fight

            Who is rigo?

agreed about rigo. nishioka on the other hand, has been on top of the division for quite some time. theres really no excuse for donaire to not fight him. well if ur a real fan its not. donaire might want to make more money, but that means nothing to us.

                Facts
1)Arce is Mexican and somewhat known by casuals
2)Rigo is Cuban and unknown to everyone but boxing fanatics
                3) Arce will make Donaire look like a beast and pose little threat
                4) Rigo is a real threat and has the style to make for a boring fight.
                5) Arce Donaire can sell tickets in Cali or Texas.
6)Rigo Donaire is not going to sell well imo.

Like I said before I understand why hardcore fans like Donaire Rigo more and I do too but its clear why Arce is the better choice for those involved in making either fight a reality.

rigondeaux fighting donaire now is not in either fighters best interest. It would be a detriment for both sides if they fought.

Donaire is trying to maintain his status among the top 10 and is trying to be marketed as viable star in a sport starving for new stars other than pac and floyd. It doesnt do anything for donaire's legacy, beating rigondeaux and both of their counter punching style will make for awful television.

Rigondeaux only has 9 wins and none against notable opposition. If he were to fight and lose to donaire, it would only hurt his marketability. Rigondeaux needs to build up his profile and get more professional fights under his belt.

It doesnt make sense for both sides to fight right now. Rigondeaux needs to get in line and earn his place the proper way. Get more fights, get more exposure, start eliminating donaire's other possibilities, and righteously earn your big title fight.

Can you imagine another top 10 p4p fighter fighting a 9 fight boxer who has zero wins vs notable opposition?

There's a reason why you guys are fans and behind a keyboard while top rank has a long and rich history of developing boxers from beginner to boxing star.

                  See Oscar De La Hoya.
                  See Erik Morales.
                  See Floyd Mayweather Jr.
                  See Manny Pacquiao.

Top rank knows wtf its doing. You fans clamoring for a 9 win fighter to fight a established fighter trying to be built to be star in a star starved sport DO NOT.

Well if Donaire-Rigo doesn't sell well here. Can it sell well in the Philippines?
