Don't get so emotional. My point is that Cotto was primed and undefeated at that time and he was basically dominating guys until he started fighting more durable fighters that could take his punch and pressure away. Mosley and his pops didn't even know what round they were in when they were fighting. I think Cotto did enough to win that fight against Mosley but others will debate it. If Cotto had a tough time with that version of Mosley at 147 then what would a Floyd fight have been like? I wish it had happened then but ain't trying to say Floyd ducked Cotto especially with Arum being in the equation.

Really , come on now you know that Cotto had become a top dog in welterweights, he would have been Jrs biggest fight but he decided to go into retirement and let the other top dog , Margo and Cotto beat each other to death, Pac beat them to death, made ODH quit, made Mosley quit fighting and taking up something new, running, and put Hatton to sleep early.

i must be goin nuts cause i'm not sure what this article has to do with manny? Why are they fighting different people and everyone talkin about ...pac did this, floyd did that. Who gives a fk about a fight that isn't happening(now at least). This has become just retarted. Boxing fans should be talkin about may vs cotto. If it's a manny article, talk manny vs bradley. may vs pac would hurt our sport very much(cause the fight would be awful) so lets get excited about all the other fights out there for our favorite boxers and stop this floyd/manny sht. I guess for me it's easy cause there are SO MANY better fights out there for everyone other then m vs p. Good information but lets keep it all the way real. Cotto never pushed for the Mayweather fight. Sure he said he was ready but I saw a video one time when he was asked whether or not he wanted to fight Floyd and Cotto said "I fights whoever my promoter puts in front of me". We also know that when Arum wanted Floyd to fight Margarito he said he would if he got 10MIL guarantees from Hatton and Cotto also 20MIL for Oscar but Arum declined and once Floyd left Arum,the Oscar fight happened. Bob Arum pretty much has been a stumbling block for his fighters against Floyd due to their salty split. I'm talking styles and if a prime undefeated Cotto went back and forth with Mosley at 36.

There is no way I believe Cotto would have beat Floyd even back then. I see Floyd mentally discouraging Cotto and out lasting him stamina wise and hitting him at will. Cotto's going to come out strong but once he sees Floyd is able to neutralize him, Cotto is going to dance back wards and try to regroup while Mayweather pushing forward. I'm pretty sure with this. Don't know why people are getting so emotional with this. I respect Cotto but stylistically, he was never able to beat Floyd in my opinion.

Floyd fights for a Living I never thought he was scared. Those point ms you make about Cotto do nothing to invalidate him being a threat to Floyd, he's just vulnerable, we Ll knew that thanks. Cotto is a threat bc he can box and has a great chin, he gets hit by MW's and is good. He has a stiff jab, active. Hes gotten better at blocking uppercuts and has a great trainer with renewed confidence Nd a comfortBle weight. Cotto is tougher than Floyd in all aspects. He never said Floyd lives in Nevada. He never retired and came back to fight a Lightweight. Lol. Cotto would have TKO Marquez, too strong. Cotto stamina issues are less apparent, he was still throwing landing hard combos in the 9th vs Cheato, a very busy guy. Truth is, Cotto was cheated against and had to build himself up and may has not fought a decent live opponent in years. Since DLH or Castillo. **** him vs Marquez, which by the way has no indication on Pac vs Floyd bc they have each others # and styles figured out. If you want to out it like that Pac dropped Marquez if previous fights and Floyd basicLly avoided confronting Marquez during theirs. Plus Cotto has TKO every guy but Mosley he and Floyd both fought, while Floyd gets decisions. That don't mean Cotto will win right? Cotto's in and out is way to slow. He's not agressive enough. He'll try to out think Floyd and eat rights all night in the process. Marquez is a perfect example of a great counter puncher being shut out by a greater counter puncher (Floyd). I have always liked Cotto but his game planning has always been his down fall. You can say "Well he made a complete 180 from the first fight with Margs" but its not true. The fights looked alike. Minus the hand wraps he did manage to keep it in the middle of the ring a little more but thats about it. Referee stoppage in 9 or 10.

Hatton was KOed real good when he fought Pac but went the distance with Mayweather.

ODLH was shot when he both fought Floyd and Pac. Pac fought him by going up a FEW divisions and btw it was not a catchweight, it was within the welterweight limit. But bottomline, ODLH was still shot.

Good points though I think Pac beat Marquez because he took the last few rounds to coast and gave it away. It was funny bc Pac was supposed to KO Marquez this time . About the bet, lets do it, I got all my points on Cotto. No excuses from about the outcome. Just pm me or show me how bc I forgot how to set up the bet.
