Odd that he got booed again in the same arena next time he showed up if that is the case.

Lewis was never a fan favorite in the US, so him being booed is not something out of left field.

He may have been booed for not making the rematch, thats understandable. And I agree he wasn't a fan favorite in the US. He came off as pompous and high and mighty. But when he was on top of his game he was a beast!

This is the truth EVERY TRUE BOXING FAN KNOWS that Vitali is the Alpha in the family.

It just sucks that this era of HW is weak and we can never see Vitali's true worth.

Lennox: "Vitali Klitschko is the best heavyweight out there right now

              By Johnny Walker

In a new interview with Sky Sports, former world heavyweight boxing champion Lennox Lewis praises current WBC champion Vitali Klitschko, the man he defeated on a cuts stoppage in 2003 before retiring, as the world’s best heavyweight.

“Vitali Klitschko is the best heavyweight out there right now,” Lewis said. “He’s a lot taller than his brother, a lot more awkward than his brother.”

Lewis also clarified his recent remarks about David Haye coming out of retirement to face Vitali, saying that he didn’t like Haye’s chances against Klitschko without at least a couple of wins over some ranked contenders first.

“To come right out of retirement and face [Vitali], I think it’s the wrong move for him,” Lewis said of Haye.

“To box a Klitschko, lose to a Klitschko, retire, and then come out retirement and say ‘I want to box a Klitschko again,’ nobody wants to see that.”

Lewis also downplayed the chances of his countryman Dereck “Del Boy” Chisora, who squares off with Vitali Klitschko on February 18 in Munich.

“I think it’s too much, too soon,” Lewis opined of Chisora.

“I think there’s nobody around right now that’s gonna give the Klitchkos any problems. But, Dereck, you know, he’s got a puncher’s chance. That means if he is able to get through with a punch, he may see a light at the end of the tunnel.”

Lewis, however, also praised the iron chin of the elder Klitschko, mentioning the uppercuts he strafed Vitali with in the final round of their 2003 encounter.

“He wavered a little bit, and he held me after I hit him with those uppercuts … but he absorbed them well, “ laughed Lewis."

Than you can't say they were booing him for any particular reason either. You can't have it both ways.

Considering that quality of the Heavyweight division is at an all-time low that's like Lennox saying "Vitali is the smartest 'tard in the special-ed class".

I clearly distinguish between both brothers & that's why i'm so emphatic about what i state here. I truly mean what i say... there's no pretensions. I take Vitali to war with me to ANY bOXING match that has ever occurred & not bat an eyelash while thinking i'm the betting favorite.... that's how much confidence i have in his boxing skills..

Think about this & smoke it in your piper....... the ONLY TIMES vITALI has failed to stop his opponents is either when they've failed to engage with him & therefore his counter opportunities were limited or when his fights didn't get completed... everyone else has gotten ktfo 100% of the time... That's all you need to know about his unprecedented credentials & unsurpassed numbers.

Another mindboggling stat..... those 5 non STOPPAGE fights he won 47 of the 51 rds that didn't ULTIMATELY end IN A KNOCKOUT VICTORY.... this is nearly the same scorecard rate he's gotten in his 40 stoppages... 92% as opposed to 96% when he does ko you. THOSE NUMBERS SHOULD SCARE ALL HATERS EVERYWHERE AS THEY WILL NEVER BE APPROACHED AGAIN IN ANY WEIGHT CLASS.....

tHAT'S WHY yOU'RE ALL ENVIOUS & JEALOUS BUT DISGUISE it as hate...... deep down you know you can't refute this overwhelming evidence no matter how hard you try & that's why Klitschko is the most hated boxer on these forums... no way to outbox him even in a mythical head to head matchup & that pesses everyone of you's off.. perhaps Chisora has something up his sleeve to change all that... you all better pray that he does.. because if Klitschko ends his career in this fashion... it'll be even more dominant than going 49-0... be very afraid.
