I'd favor Rigondeaux over Chavez. Just pot shot for 12 rounds no problem.

I'm going to quote good ole Skip Bayless on this one.

Julio Chavez Jr beating Mayweather ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!!!
This would be like watching those shows where they compete chopping down trees because that's what it would be.

Chavez is too big for any welterweight. Floyd gets walked down, put in a corner & beaten to death. Chavez is a bonified body puncher. Floyd's shoulder roll would be completely useless. Some size would be needed here. Floyd lacks that.

With a chin like Chavez has, Mayweather could hardly hurt him if he brough a hammer. He'd be running all night, and would eventually be caught. And that would be that. Chavez woulld come in at around 175 just too much for Mayweather to handle It's not as if Chavez cant fight. He's getting pretty good.

People should stpo wasting our time with these impossible matchups. More realistic is the thing to be.

What would end up happening is the same thing that would happen if JJr fought any elite fighter, he'd lose.

To beat Chavez Jr, you don't even have to O.D. And get a fighter like Floyd or Martinez. Someone like Cotto, who's just an okay fighter, would break Chavez Jr in half with body shots. The body shots that are non-existant vs good fighters, but are there vs lesser fighters than him like Judah, Quintana, Foreman.

Mayweather would humilate Chavez Jr over 12 rounds, Chavez Jr's size will allow him to go the distance, but gets punished while Floyd puts up career high connect percentages in all categories.

I see Canelo putting up a better effort than C Jr.
Cotto? hahaha really? Chavez will murder him

Mayweather could run for some rounds, but after a while Jr would get him in the corner and would beat him badly. At 180, Jr has good power for a MW, but against a LMW like Floyd he would actually have massive power. Of course this will never happen and would be a ****** match up.

Although Chavez Jr has the size advantage, I think Floyd's speed advantage would dominate the fight. I can picture it looking similiar to Roy Jones fighting John Ruiz.

Im surprised Chavez jr is getting that many votes. Floyd would totally outclass him even at 160.
