DLH had a pretty serious jab. Corrales once beat Casamayor using his jab. Genero Hernandez had one.

This is one of those match ups where I can't understand why a lot of people always think Floyd loses, I can't see it. This, in my opinion, goes pretty similar like the Oscar-Floyd fight.

Shouldn't Floyd have lost to Oscar if this were the case? Overrated or not De La Hoya is a damn good boxer and was way bigger than Floyd.

Floyd would beat him. On the outside he has the ring IQ to minimise Forrest angles, on the inside he would cut his space, make him miss and catch him with accurate shots.

Also I think people are overrating the range advantage Forrest would have over Mayweather. For a guy that is only 5ft8 Mayweather has a pretty wide range.

Now Vernon was a talented guy that fought tall well.

But he and Shane had a history in the amateurs and it carried over to the pro ranks obviously.

Now before Shane his best win was vs a towards the end Vince Phillips.

Now its shame that he never fought Cory Spinks or Zab Judah because Vernon never fought a fighter like Floyd, so we could compare.

              Shane never fought like Floyd.

That said, he would give Floyd a very tough fight early for like 4 or 5 rounds. I think Floyd figures him out. By either timing his jab or pot shotting with the straight right.

Winky Wright had the best shot to beat Floyd IMO.

Floyd got by with a split nod but a couple years earlier DLH would of got him.
