Do you seriously think Donaire is beatable at 122 lbs?

I agree, the commentators were talking him up BIG time. early on i remember they were talking like Vazquez was completely out of there, but i thought he was being defensively responsible and doing reasonably well with the jab.I feel like people are on the band wagon far too hard.
There was nothing in control about the Vazquez fight. he took some BIG shots, too many, DANGEROUS big shots. That is never "in control". Stop listening to the commentators, watch Donairs mannerisms, listen to his corner. You all had the fight wide.. Garcia pleaded with Donaire in the last 2 rounds saying "we NEED these rounds". And although I disagree that he "needed" them.. I actually had teh fight a lot closer than a lot of you. Donaire showed urgency, several times. A guy "in control" doesn't need to do that.
This was not a 1 sided affair at all (at least not in the way people think) people just seem to like judging blocked punches and give no credit to a healthy jab. He got caught flush with some MEAN right hands as well and a lot of times while trying to slip them, so I don't want to hear "oh, he let him"... really?
I think Donaire relies so much on his power at time that he often forgets smaller details like boxing and defense. He was trying too hard to get the KO. You dont "let" someone hit you to the point where your eye gets marked up and swollen that badly just because.Comment

He gets hit too much and is wild at times, he'll give Donaire plenty of opportunities.Comment

Jabbing and defense wont win you fights just saying, otherwise Narvaez would of had a shut out against DonaireI agree, the commentators were talking him up BIG time. early on i remember they were talking like Vazquez was completely out of there, but i thought he was being defensively responsible and doing reasonably well with the jab.

Plus Donaires face was marked up after 3 rounds when WV2 only landed like 3 power punches.Comment

You're suppose to take a shot, it's a FIGHT.You fight! you get hit...Wish we can all be like Floyd or Whitaker but we're not...Then if that's the case you have to be prepared to show pnd for pnd heart and chins in the contest because you will get hit in a boxing match unless you run or can shoulder scroll.I feel like people are on the band wagon far too hard.

Yes, I think Nishioka is the biggest threat to Donaire right now, but Rigondeaux can also give him problems at 122. I think Moreno beats him also, but Moreno is still fighting at 118 and IDK how he would do at 122, but if he's as good at 122 as he is at 118 he has a pretty good chance of beating Nonito, I would even consider him favorite.Comment

It wasn't better than Martinez's performance. Martinez KO'd the opponent in front of him.
Rigondeaux would get the job done.Comment
