Is that wrong, trying to fight a P4P fighter with alot of hyped? The last time I checked that's what got you to the top, and ND is coming to Rigondeaux division.

So why not call out Nishioka? Thats the guy Nonito is going for. That should be the guy everyone at 122 wants. Rigondeaux is a great fighter but he beat a bum and everyone thinks he's the greatest! If Rigondeaux had beat Toshiaki, then hands down he deserves to fight Nonito.

before i get started on my rant here i'm not trying to take a particular stance but there's a heck of a lot of bull being written by people who have no actual knowledge about what they're writing about.



bit more complex than that, he'd reached the top of the tree in cuba, in amateur boxing. what was he to do- go and win another olympic gold? been there done that. twice.
he saw a lot of these professionals, most of whom couldn't come close to standing with him yet they get the accolades and are considered the best in the world.
he just wanted to go out and claim what was his in terms of honours and sure cash too.
but then of course there's the family issue. pretty big issue it is too. not an easy choice and one i know he hasn't dealt with easily. some of his family have disowned him and he has no contact with them.





yes, people talk about cuba being unfair to its athletes. well what the **** is this if not unfair?

they don't do repossessions in cuba, unless something pretty drastic has gone on. during the beginning of the economic crisis i had to explain to cuban friends what having a house repossessed means, most of them didn't believe me that it could be legal.




that guy had screwed up what he got. they don't get a vast amount materially at all though they do fine enough. they do get a lot socially though and in a socialist system which takes precedence? hint- in a capitalist system it's the reverse.
and why is he pushing his son to go the same route if he got screwed over?!

I think every fighter in the game wants a title shot and thinks they are the best. You have to have that mentality to succeed in this sport. So why would Rigondeaux call out Donaire since you say boxers should fight the best? Last time I checked, Nishioka is the consensus number one guy in that divison. I havent heard Nishioka's name come out of Rigondeaux's mouth.

don't people (and magazines etc) claim donaire to way up high in the p4p ratings?

Rigondeaux has been spoiled if anything. Who in boxing gets a title shot after 8 fights? That type of stuff only happens in MMA.

Rigondeaux is a great boxer but Im tired of all the people massaging his balls after he beat a mental midget, B class fighter. Would Rigondeaux pose a big challenge to Donaire? No doubt.

But as of right now he only has 9 fights. Its hard to market a fight against the guy when NOBODY knows who he is. He needs to stop whining and start padding his record.

People say Nonito is ducking for calling out Nishioka? Does that even make sense? How can you be ducking someone when he is calling out the BEST guy in the division?

Rigondeaux has 9 fights but has the experience of a guy with 40 fights.

He's being brought fast cause he's okay with it, he's at an advanced age for 9 fights and instead of "padding" his record, he wants to make the most out of his time in boxing by immediately fighting the best available fightersm

**** all that padding ****. Fighters with 30-40 fights end up having only 5-10 real stand out wins. So if Rigondeax can get 5-10 notable wins in a 18-25 fight pro career, I'd say that's the same **** as these fighters with 40-50 fights with less than 10 notable wins.

I can understand why Rigo is angry. You're only as good as your promoter says you are. If Arum does not make the public aware of his other 122lb fighter, then why the **** is anybody gonna care? I would feel offended too if my promoter blatantly told HBO to not mention my name, they name-dropped Pacquiao a couple times too. Now what the **** does that say about Arum's intentions? He wants us to believe that Donaire is the next Pacman. What comes with that comparison? Popularity and star-power. OMG, DONAIRE WAS BORN IN GENERAL SANTOS CITY TOO!!! lol, I hope ya'll see the foolishness that's taking place, ****ing brain-washing us. What Arum should do is match Rigo with Arce to get his popularity up, but that isn't where his head is at. Rigo is being treated like the red-headed stepchild. I see this relationship turning very ugly, very soon.
