Yes WV did but if he opens up in the earlier rounds he might be more prone to heavier counters from Donaire.

And yea. Rematch would be good. To see how this two boxers will play theur games.

My boy? Who is my boy? I didn't even know who vazquez was till tonight. I'm a donaire fan through and through. He's top 5 in my book.. but I'm also a realist. And I know a front when i see one.

Love donaire, but tonight was awful, and I know who he should stay away from. That's the problem with you clowns. You guys aren't man enough to admit when your fav fighters have flaws.

        When did wv2 open up?
All I saw was jab jab jab with occasional right.
It was a poor performance, had wv2 actually opened up it would have been good night.
        He fought too cautious.

I think everyone is expecting a KO everytime Nonito steps in the ring.

U are completely and utterly ******ed. Vasquez hit Donaire with some huge shots and it didn't bother Donaire in the least. I was not impressed with Donaire, but he simply does not have the power to hurt Donaire.

Take away that bs card and it should have been a UD and u say not impressed? Talk about a clown! The kid can't win every fight by ko, 'specially vs a suppposed "fighter" who was on defense all night......
As for u saying u like Donaire fan, u sure about that?

shut the fuck up. we are talking about Nonito, Vazquez and Nonito's potential future fights. No one else.

                    Not off one shot.

Vazquez had a good gameplan for the early rounds. After that, he had nothing. His corner told him nothing.

If Vazquez would have thrown combinations in the late rounds, Nonito could have been hurt. A swollen left eye, a slow reaction to the jab, and lunging in after the 2nd punch of a combination. Nonito could have been hurt by a left hook ending Vazquez's combinations but he did not throw anything over 2 punches. Nor used his left hook as a follow up shot.

It would have came from a blind spot and with the amount of power Vazquez does have it would have been multiplied by a lunging Nonito.

I went for Nonito in this fight btw but it's just an observation of the fight.

Donaire is no 1 punch KO artist. Yes, he ktfo Darchiyan and Montiel but i don't see him winning all his fights by KO. With his skills, Donaire wins by KO when the opportunity is there. It was there against Darchinyan and Montiel.

Against Vasquez tonight, he looks like he was trying hard to get a KO win because of his last fight against Narvaez. It failed him of getting the KO and the way Vasquez Jr. was fighting, which is mostly jabbing and defense. The opportunigy of a KO win wasn't there.

With that, Donaire hurt Vasquez Jr on the knockdown. It don't matter if Wilfredo was saying he wasn't hurt but he was. When Donaire landed that upper cut, he got hurt and it was like slow motion reaction.

Remember also that this is the highest weight that Donaire has ever fought and its his first time at 122 division. Maybe his body is not accustom to it yet and his next fight will be a "better" performance. As far as his power at 122, it will be there but it will be an accumulation of punches to get the KO win.
