Wait, wait, wait! Please take a look again at my reply to you. I was complimenting you on being more than a "casual" and in my book being a true, die-hard fan. When I used the term "lucid" I was using that as a synonym for intelligent, well thought-out comments etc. And me saying "40k is a big stretch" means EXACTLY what you said in that JMM can't alone draw big crowds. Saying something is a "stretch" means one DOESN'T see it happening. So do you want to scratch your entire reply to me (above) because it seems you went completely brain dead on me agreeing with you? LOL Geesh, some ppl!!

I think it was the fact he was such a huge underdog going into the third that caused most people to lose all objectivity when the fight wasn't a blowout. I've watched the third fight a few times. He just wasn't aggressive enough, especially down the stretch. Even the compubox stats didn't support him like it did for the two fights. So he deserved to lose. If there was one fight from the trilogy that could be given to JMM, it would be the second one because that fight was the closest.
Not true. Although I agree with you that Marquez was a much bigger underdog going into the third bout, but it's pretty much unanimously agreed by most ppl that Marquez did beat Pacquiao. Even Filipinos at the MGM grand that night agreed so, theres a video you can find on youtube of Filipinos walking out of the MGM grand looking like somebody they knew had just died!

I was there and yes a majority of people thought JMM won this fight. For every 1 that thought Pac won there are 5 who think he lost and not all are mexican or pac haters, as a matter of fact i know some die hard Pac fans who admit he lost. But who cares its done and Pac star is not shining so bright anymore.

Back on topic there is no way they get 40k with JMM and Peterson. Before he beat Khan casual fans didnt even know who he was.

I guess Bob gotta milk Marquez for all he's worth. I don't think 40.000 people will want to see this fight. Now if Marquez was fighting Morales now that's a different story.

I like the idea Arum has on these two fighters. We get to see four fights relatively fast. No two fight a year nonsense for either fighter. I just hope the tune-ups are competitive.

there goes arum with this build up ****.if either peterson or marquez fight somebody else then they won't fight each other because something is going to go wrong. this fight in cowboys stadium won't happen unless they go right into it.
