you cant blame the fighter if they agree to a weight , by the same token you cant blame a fighter that wants catch weight to even things up when there is definitely a big weight advantage .

2 pounds is not weight drained , the advantages in this fight are all with Cotto , big respect for Pac taking the challenge .

its a WW fight the title is on the line , the 145 is to even the size difference between the 2 within the legal limits of a title fight and 145 is private treaty between the 2 fighters , Cotto has a huge weight advantage and is being compensated a great deal to agree to come to a fairer weight within the WW division , you have 2 issues going on here , 1st concerning the title its a WW fight it should be on the line , 2 the catch weight is agreed to by both .

I didnt know a weight class must be fought at its heaviest limit , if Cotto gets beaten below 147 the winner should get any WW titles he holds , thats how its always been a belt is yours untill somebody beats you in your weight class how can you still be WW WC when you got beat inside the weight class thats bullshit , Cotto can not use weight as a legitimate non title reason especially as its only 2 pounds of the heaviest a WW can be .

I dont think its unfair , youve got to look at it from all angles here , first is Cotto has a choice nothing is being forced all is negotiated , then you have the rules and this fight is inside the boundarys of a recognized WW fight , then last but not least is Pac is way smaller and is the one who will be handicapped on the night of the fight , Cotto gets beat he should loose any WW titles he has in my view !
