    holyfield: toughest fighter ever??

their have been many guys who had good chins in boxing...but not many who just had a disregard and didnt give a **** if they got hit or not...hagler and holyfield are the man 2 that come to my mind..i think holyfield is the toughest fighter of all time...and dont say marciano because he didnt get hit by the big hiters that holyfield has gotten hit by

Hagler was never visibly hurt for as long as I can remember and took absolute bombs from some of the all time p4p hardest punchers in the sport. No one is/was tougher than Hagler. I cannot remember seeing anyone eat punishment the way he did...and then win and have such a great career. I recall Holy being hurt on numerous occasions but even so he's still very high on the list.

He's tough, but not the toughest by a longshot.

I always thought that Lamotta was one of the toughest all time fighters, 6 brutal wars with Robinson. Easily in the top 5 greatest chins of all time.

How the hell can you start a "toughest fighters" thread and say "don't say Marciano"?

i would say holyfield,,but marciano had smaller gloves and you get lots more broken ribs in those days,,plus not all the luxuries of nowadays,,fighters were tougher,,some would chew on rocks to make their jaw tougher

I agree with oldgringo Hagler must be the toughest.

(and look to the left to see how you train it )
