This is too perfect for Golden Boy. Rematch Ortiz with Mayweather on 5/5 and save Canelo from taking a loss. Berto took step aside money I'm guessing, with a handshake that he would get a fight with the winner later this year.

Fight had no business being at the MGM on it's own

this injury sounds like something that happens when the matchup is doing no pre-fight business or the promoters come up with a better idea and want to postpone it and make up an entirely new card.

He at least deserves a fight with Mayweather later this year after doing this a second time.

Wouldn't surprise me if it was post poned because of low ticket sales and they want to move it out of Vegas. Then again Berto fought in front of no one against Quintana so I would say that he doesn't mind as long as he gets paid.
