Canelo is getting rushed a bit. It sucks to see.
He should be able to make almost as much money fighting Cotto and he'll have a much better chance at winning.

His best win is what? I'm not even sure that version of Cintron is better than Matthew Hatton.

I know everyone wants Mosley to retire, but he would be a good stepping stone for Canelo if hes going to stick around.

I think Ryan Rhodes is his best win. He is the only top 10 fighter Canelo has fought. He also has Miguel Vazquez on his resume. But, the first fight Vazquez was making his pro debut. And, in the rematch they fought at the WW limit. Considering that Vazquez right now is a LW title holder and Canelo is a JMW title holder. The size difference might have been pretty big in that one.

You don't need to get "hurt" to be damaged. Look at how Hopkins opponents reacts.

It's mentally taxing to get taken out the deep end. Even if it doesn't end with a ko.

It's not a good fight for Canelo. Hes not ready. He can make a lot of money against lesser threats in JCC jr or Cotto. Hell even grandpa mosley.

There is a lot of mental damage that can occur getting humilated on the biggest possible stage.

I gotta confess though, i was intrigued by this fight a few months back. The more I've thought about it though makes me totally bummed out on it. Canelo flat out is just not ready. It's not even like hes an exceptional prospect either. Hes a good promising fighter with a big fanbase, thats all for now. He needs a lot more work.

I do like Canelo vs Floyd better than Pac vs Cotto 2, Pac vs Peterson. And actually Pac vs JMM 4 too. Jmm4 is more legit, no doubt, but i have no interest ever seeing it.

Honestly I don't mind both fights. Mayweather vs canelo and pacquaio vs Bradley. I actually really like both fights. To bad the Mega fight could not be made(both at fault) but both fight I think will be very competitive.

Hey man. Don't argue with that guy. Cotto would K.O. Alvarez. He'd be too smart and too much for the kid at this point. Gomez was beating him up until the stoppage. If he had any power, he would have stopped him that night! He got exposed. You can tell that he is young because he's so biased toward Cotto but so enthusiastic toward Alvarez. Don't waste your time going back and forth. You know boxing obviously.

Myabe that is why GBP is cashing in their chips, they realize he doesn't have it in him to move beyond what he is. It takes a special breed to keep improving even though he has essentially made it in the sport

So there is no point in waiting because he will never be ready at this rate, so the only way he can get better is to see a guy like Floyd.

It could destroy him, or it could get him back on the road to improvement. It would be down to Canelo at that point.
