Mayorga: Not a top 10 JMW when Cotto fought him.
Margarito: Not ranked in the top 10 in any division at all.

Mayweather: Not ranked in the top 10 at JMW, only one fight there 4-5 years ago.
Not ranked in the top 10 at JMW, only has one fight there at catchweight of 150.

Martinez, Lara, Williams are all fighting soon so he can get a pass now, but Kirkland and Canelo are free and willing to fight Cotto next. They are top 10 JMW's. If it's about money, fine let's eliminate Kirkland. Canelo is a big draw and has a big Mexican fanbase who will sell out Canelo-Cotto, and the PPV I can see doing a minumum of 500k.
So your making a case for Cotto to not fight Mayweather because he doesn't fight at JMW but yet you want him to fight Martinez who is the champ at MW and who hasn't fought at JMW going on 3 years?
Do you honestly think Lara is known to the casual boxing fan? Could this fight sell anything? Lara's last two fights were a loss to Paul and a draw to Molina and you expected Cotto to fight him?
Kirkland is fighting Carlos Molina next so he isn't free right now. I wouldn't mind seeing Miguel fight Canelo and he already stated he is open to fighting him but lets be real here, If Cotto had to pick between Canelo and Floyd I think we all know who he's gonna pick.

Spray, Margarito can not beat any top 10 154 fighter right now, at all.

Sorry I'm not a nationality freak like you and your friends, getting at my people does not hurt my feelings.

you are not a nationality freak cause you got no DR fighters to support who are good

if DR had that you would be just as bad as the puerto ricans ,mexicans,UK fans etc....

It's funny when Mayweather ducked Cotto, Cotto stans were *****ing about the business side of things. Now that it's Cotto doing the same thing it's ok. Their double standards just keep adding up.

In fairness, business wise it didn't make sense to not fight Cotto at that time either. That was the biggest $$$ fight and the fight that should have been made in early 2008.

He retired without fighting Cotto so yea he ducked him in my eyes.

But my point was the double standard with some of your fellow fans that take it to the extreme.

I know what you mean...I'm just sayin when all that happened it actually would have made business sense for Floyd to fight Cotto. It was the biggest money fight available next to Oscar 2. Plus it was perceived as a huge risk at the time, but in reality it wasn't.
