Will Cotto ever fight Lara, Williams, Martinez, Kirkland?

Or will he keep with the trend of fighting guys who are not rated in the top 10 at JMW while keeping his #1 spot?

Mayorga: Not a top 10 JMW when Cotto fought him.
Margarito: Not ranked in the top 10 in any division at all.

Mayweather: Not ranked in the top 10 at JMW, only one fight there 4-5 years ago.
Not ranked in the top 10 at JMW, only has one fight there at catchweight of 150.

Martinez, Lara, Williams are all fighting soon so he can get a pass now, but Kirkland and Canelo are free and willing to fight Cotto next. They are top 10 JMW's. If it's about money, fine let's eliminate Kirkland. Canelo is a big draw and has a big Mexican fanbase who will sell out Canelo-Cotto, and the PPV I can see doing a minumum of 500k.

He could fight Kirkland and Martinez. No to the others. Kirkland is on the verge of being backed big time by GBP...that could be enough to get him a Cotto fight especially if Cotto jumps ship.

Martinez, at some point, could bring money if the public demand gets there.

The other two, no chance. Makes no sense.

Dont understand why any fighter at the end of his career would take a chance on a young lion. Unless that fighter is financially set. Cotto has 2 maybe 3 left. I say fight Floyd or Pac you deserve it ....then fight any of those guys.

Lara fight never gonna happen. Williams? I don't see much interest based on his recent form. Kirkland fight may happen, but I see him and Canelo on a collision course for this year. Martinez fight could happen maybe next year, depending on how both do this year.
