Should be a great fight, can't wait for it.
Well put, I feel the same, rootin' for an upset. @Sweetscience, you sound like a true Pac hater. He's better than Donaire by far.

I don't think Vazquez can beat Nonito, especially if he fights like he did against Arce. However I do agree that Nonito is not invincible, there are certain boxers who can beat him like Rigondeaux or Anselmo Moreno, Maybe Abner if they were at the same weight class, or even Nishioka (I would love to see that fight) but WV2 is just not that good to beat the Pinoy boxer.

That is a good way to look at it for Vazuez Jr. in terms of making a real fun to watch scrap.

I don't know if that approach would allow him to win though, to me he needs to think of him as almost unbeatable in order to really motivate himself to tighten up his game to the point he would stand a good shot.

Vazquez can certainly be very effective on offense but the real question for him is what can he deal with coming back, unless he is a bunch more effective in mitigating what Nonito does as compared to Arce it is tough to like his chances.

Still Vazquez is no slouch so it will be interesting to see how that fight plays out.

          Vasquez just won't win

I admire this kids guts. And he is right about one thing Donaire is no Pacquiao and he is not invincible. However he is going to get his arse handed to him in this fight. Vasquez as much of a gym rat that he is, is simply still too green for Donaire. I have said this many times amateur experience and level of pro competition means a lot, and Donaire has a ton of it. Despite what some people here think Donaire has a lot of very good pro wins. Vasquez biggest test so far has come against Arce and he failed. And lets face it Arce is way, way past his prime. Arce is actually years removed from his prime and still gave Vasquez all he could handle.
A prime Donaire will KO Vasquez in under 6 rounds.

The only fighters I see Donaire losing to are counterpunchers who can crack. If you saw the Narvaez fight, although Donaire dominated the fight, the first three rounds Narvaez was actually doing very well. Blocking, picking his shots and countering. the problem was Donaire was simply too big, and Narvaez just didn't have the size or power to make his punches hurt Donaire. At 122 or 126 with guys who can crack, he'll have a hard time.

I agree, no one is invincible in the ring the only invincible is pac 8 division champion i think no one will ever break that one not in a 100 years from now.

With 17 division and 4 major title organizations that are willing to give belts at a drop of a hat, I could see this record being broken very easily in the next 10 years.

No offense but even with that, it takes a special kind of fighter to pull something like that off. Sure Pac is an opportunist like the majority of boxers but that's no easy task bro.

It is a special skill, but again 14lbs separate the 5 divisions. (112, 115, 118,122,126) A guy like Donaire squeezed himself down to 112 when he was younger won a title and then win titles as he is doing now. He could probably win a title all the way to 140 if given the right opponents (kind of like pacquiao) And at a catchweight at 141 for the WW title, he could win 9 divisions.
Not saying its not special, but with right opposition, catchweights and organizations willing to hand belts, its not a record that would last 100 years.

Titles at different weight classes at some point are going to be pointless. I just want a guy to stay in one division and become undisputed champ. That will be a real task.

It doesn't take a special fighter, just great timing. There's a reason a lot of people don't make a huge deal out of Pac's wins, and that's because there are so many champions, you can become one by fighting the weaker of the champs..Hell, in this day and age, you can fight for a title without even fighting at the limit...Hence Pac fighting for the 154 title, and not even fighting at it's limit. Catch weights and alphabet champs make that record in sight for large guys like Donaire who have unreal weight cutting ability. Donaire has the better gift for boxing imo than Pac, and Donaire if he really choses his spots, could probably break that record if he wanted to.

I won't get into the whole Pac invincible thing because it's kind of funny...

Please educate yourself. Donaire hasn't fought a Marquez, Morales and Barrera level boxer and if he do. He would be in dire straights.

Donaire is the Marquez, Morales and Barrera level boxer . There is nothing Donaire can not do in that ring. He is by far the best phillipino fighter ever. Pacpunk is the one whos always in dire straights when faced against a real live wire. Good fighters adapt and overcome, dumb fighters like pacpunk keep doing the same dumb **** over and over.
