Well, to be fair, Gamboa gets caught for being arrogant or too comfortable and lets himself be caught at times. It's normally after he gets rocked that he gets serious. Rios hits pretty hard but Gamboa is supposedly an enormous puncher. This looks nothing like marg-cotto to me. Cotto was a strong puncher (particularly to the body he got a lot of leverage in), but gamboa is an explosive knockout puncher. The only thing is will he carry his power with him? Some guys go up as little as one or two weight classes and the size diff negates the power (Darchinyan is something of a recent example). Then again, he could get stronger..more explosive.

I don't know, man. I like both guys but I don't like them fighting each other when there are good fighters their own size they can fight.

This is a good point, but this is the state we're in. Yuri can't find good enough fights at 126; the JuanMa fight never materialized. I suppose Gamboa is getting frustrated with how slowly his career is evolving. He must figure that a win over a much bigger man will get him noticed. As for Brandon, he's just taking on the challenge that's been issued to him.
