If I were in Peterson's shoes I'd probably do the same thing. He'll get paid in the Marquez fight and a should he win he'll definitely make some coin fighting Pacquiao. Although, I'm really hoping Mayweather vs. Pacquiao gets made later in the year if it won't happen in May, as it looks to be the case.

I'm curious as to why Top Rank won't match him against Pacquiao and have Bradley/Marquez instead. A Pacquiao win over Bradley would be a better notch on Pac's belt but a Peterson vs. Pacquiao is a more action fight in my opinion, Manny will look better beating him. Which he'll want to do to change the Mayweather vs. Pacman outcome perception there is now after his last fight.

Khan should definitely move on, and who knows he may get a shot a Floyd later on. Getting a win over a Guerrero or someone at 147 may help.

Ok, so Arum has offered JMM followed by Pacquiao. Could GBP not offer Floyd followed by Khan?

Surely that would be a better offer as he's guaranteed a big money fight sooner. Floyd may not be willing but you'd think he'd consider it as Lamont is a better opponent than Guerrero or Alvarez. And if he refused that then maybe he'd consider beating a Khan-Peterson winner within the next year.

Maybe they tried and it just didn't work out, but I haven't heard any rumours suggesting that whereas the Peterson-Arum thing has been spoken about for a while not despite there not being a contract yet.

Peterson won 4 rounds. He fought a great fight overall but he didn't win enough rounds to get a decision. He got a gift. He knows that. He's gonna milk this for all its worth. There'll never be a rematch as long as he goes with Arum. Just like Bradley will never fight Khan while hes at TR.
