Comments Thread For: Nonito Donaire Would Consider Abner Mares, But at 122

The Darchinyan fight is generally considered a robbery. He deserved a rematch as much as Agbeko. Perez has seen better days.
I'm not going to deny Mares is good. He won some of my respect when he beat Agbeko fair and square, but to say he has cleaned out 118 is a huge overstatement. Winning one title and defending it once is hardly cleaning.Comment

Mares isn't even at 122 Nonito. Why didn't you just fight Moreno and Mares at 118 in the first place???
If Mares moves up and beats someone like Arce or Nishioka, then yeah, make the fight. I like Mares, but he isn't beating Donaire.Comment

[QUOTE=richardt;11711306]Rigondeaux just came out of nowhere and slapped you with a small dose of reality. QUOTE]Correct, the dose of reality that he is boring, is not TV friendly, and needs to change his style. Now go back to slapping your stick while fantasing about him fighting Donaire and quit crying child.Comment

Nonito unless he's having trouble making 118 probably will not move to 122 immediately after Vazquez jr (given that Donaire wins) Mares is a good name and vs Nonito will sell very well @ 118.Comment
