I can easily see PAC agreeing to 150 if push comes to shove but it's still a fight I don't care for or interest me. manny beating cotto again even at 150 does nothing.

I think he is. why is he looking to fight someone whom he already convincely beat? If he is not afraid, at least he is not convinced that he can beat Mayweather. And what happened to the rematch that all pacman's talked about as soon as they announced pacman as the winner against Marquez? Bob Arum said it, Freddie Roach said he did not want to but morally they had to give Marquez a rematch.

Could he be afraid of a 38 yearl old, lightweight? Maybe.

The point is going up in weight. If Cotto wants Manny he has to go to Manny. This was made clear months before this rematch hype talk. That Manny wasnt fighting over147. I like Cotto. and i think the fight is Floyd/Cotto to be made. But to call someone scared for not adjusting his weight after he has already did so on a number of occasions and decided before Cotto rematch talk not to do it again is preposterous. No fear.

lol... This is a really bad translation of Cotto's comments posted on PR's newspaper "Primerahora", but I understand BoxingScene intent to create some buzz and make people to post comments (got me commenting too, lol). Cotto never question "Does Pacquiao fears me?" but he did question why Manny has been willing to fight other fighters at 147 limit including Joshua Clottey but faced him at 145 and why Pacman did have any problem facing Cheato at 150 but he's not willing to do the same with him. He also said that he's not willing to fight under 150. I think those are valid questions.

In another interview couple of weeks back Cotto admitted that Manny has been the best fighter he ever fought. That Manny speed and angles gave him a lot of problems and that there were some clauses (didn't specified) in their 1st fight that end up playing against him. (people assume he's talking about the weight).
IMHO both fighters are in title to fight at whatever weight they feel at their best. If 147 is for Manny who are we to complain about it, 150-154 is Cotto's he should look for whatever is best for him. I'm Cotto's fan but I do believe that both Manny and Floyd will have the better of him (hope I'm wrong) but I also believe that Cotto has paid the dues to get big pay days!!!

Alot of people dont know that on top of the catchweight there was also a REHIDRATION clause, meaning he can only weight X amount of pounds on fight night.

i don't understand? if floyd agreed to 154 why is cotto still going after pac? just fight floyd and forget about pac. nobody wants to see that rematch.

I dont think Pac is scared of Cotto, Pac would fight anyone they let him, but he listens to his corner, its Roach that trys to get every advantage he can for his fighter, He knows that Cotto would be stronger at 154lbs, so he rather have him a little weaker at 147ish or so. But even if Cotto weighs 154 and Pac comes in at 145 or whatever weight he feels comfortable at Pac will win. Cotto is very good and exciting to watch but Pac is at another level, same with the Floyd, It would be exciting to watch Cotto vs Floyd but Floyd would pick him apart and probably knock him out late.

he didn't call out Martinez at 150 catchweight he was asked about what Martinez said going down to 150 to fight either Floyd or Manny.
On topic Cotto doesn't want to fight Mayweather from what I been reading and Manny won't risk going to 147 it means Cotto has two options either Chavez Jr or Canelo Next
