Who says PAC vs cotto again is acceptable? Stop making ***** up to defend Floyd if he does pick cotto. And oh yea I think peeps giving floyd a hard time because well u know cotto is a PAC left over and remember how Floyd and his fans feel about PAC fighting floyds left over? lol...

Sure, we can find reasons why the fight shouldn't happen or is long over due, but I think people from jump are just finding reasons to discredit the fight. But as soon as the fight comes to fruition, the chants of "Cotto is done" from Mayweather fans turns into "Cotto is coming off a win and has only 1 legit loss". The same goes for Pac fans if Cotto fights him. The truth of it all is both guys are out of fighters to pick from with Cotto really being the one big name not named Pacquiao that Floyd has never faced. If they can make a PPV out of Mayweather vs Ortiz, I have no doubt they can actually do really well with Mayweather vs Cotto.
Why keep mentioning Mosley's layoff when PBF was off for a longer period than Mosley was? I don't get folks logic when comes to bringing up Mosley's layoff when his opponents layoff was even longer.

As long as Cotto and Manny dont fight. Cotto needs a good tune up...like Mayweather. Thats before he trys to fight Manny again. Because if he can get past Floyd...it will make the rematch with Manny more interesting. If he cant beat Floyd he wont come close to Manny...again...

Have you been reading the amount of people that don't even want to see Cotto fight Pac?

Perceptually, you're right cause Mosley's last performance was Margarito and he was #1 at the time.

But in hindsight, I think it'd be better. That layoff killed Mosley, he was clearly affected by it and hasn't been the same since. Call me crazy, but I also think the Cotto fight took something out of Shane.

An active, less shot(IMO) Cotto is a better win. But historically the Shane win will always be better cause of his standing in the division at the time of the fight.

There ya go. Agreed with that and that's why the Mosley win would be rated higher. I think Cotto will present a unique challenge for Floyd (he'll get tapped a couple times) but I guess that's about it.

Is the 2012 154lb Cotto more skilled and stronger than the 145lb Cotto of 2009? Is he also mentally stronger? weigh in the loss from margarito before the pac fight and the win after the margarito fight.

Yea it would be rated higher, but in my opinion at the stages of their respective careers, I think the present Cotto is the better fighter than the May 2010 Shane Mosley. That was my point. It's moot since like we said, history will treat the Mosley win better, with fair reason too.

You may be right. It's really hard to say what Cotto has left. It was nice to see glimpses of the fighter I once admired but...how much did Margarito have left? IDK. I will say this...it'll be hard to push Cotto around. Margarito looked like a damn LHW in there against Miguel.
