I'd have to go over my list again but between seeing who I do have, their opponents and having gone over countless articles from the day I believe my opinion is an educated one if not an expert one. V is a great fighter, his quality of competition just doesn't hold up to the true greats. I think he's an all time threat at heavy, but that's simply not able to be proven.

They are not the greatest heavyweights of all time, but Pac/May are clearly not the greatest of all time either, and the K's have pretty much ruled the heavyweight div for most of the last decade.

They fight conservatively, but they will fight anyone..... whereas someone like Pacquiao will fight aggressively, but only against someone he knows he can beat..... I dunno, you just have to take the good with the bad..... it is what it is..... there is no perfect fighter, or perfect resume'.

Vitali is a badass, big, tough, and mean..... just the way I like em.

      VK for Presidente

thats not really true man, i mean i think the brothers are cool and they get alot of hate from people who don't know what they are talking about, but i dont love or hate them. i mean i like vitali, and i think he really is a very good boxer but im not really impassioned either way. Both brothers are very smart guys too, not enough people like them in boxing IMO

I can read articles all day too but it's not the same as seeing the guy fight. Sure you're a good poster and I respect your opinion but seeing them fight gives your opinion much better credibility for me. I haven't seen all the great HWs fight but I know one thing is that there isn't many that I have seen as great as Vitali and Wlad. Not Marciano, not Johnson, not Frazier, not Tyson, not Holmes. My opinion.

this whole 'tyson is the only one who would beat him' thing bothers me. people really think tyson was a great fighter? famous, no doubt. great? hardly, the guy lost every big fight he was in.

i love tyson, very exciting fighter, intriguing man, but he is ridiculously overrated on these boards.

No one really talks about Holmes' or Marciano's bad opposition today, all they say is "Marciano would have given this fighter a hard time" or "Holmes would have killed him." Same will be said about K2 once they retire, perhaps a little less on these forums because they're not American.

Holmes and Marciano have career defining fights and wins over other all time greats. This has nothing to do with nationality its just a fact.

If it makes you feel better though I think V beats Rocky and pretty easily.

Think what you wanna think, if the brothers were born & raised in Oklahoma, nobody would care about their opposition. They would be hyped a lot more than now fighting guys like Haye or Adamek (which both actually have impressive fight records).

Yeah just like Shaun O'Grady is hyped as an all time great lightweight. By the way, he was from Oklahoma.

Yeah, cause he was the reigning IBF, WBO, IBO, and the Ring lightweight champion for 6 years throughout.
