I disagree. I think 50/50 was never negotiable. It therefore demanding something other than 50/50 has zero bargaining power.

No, I'm not defending Mayweather. Simply stating that the guy said he'd take the smaller purse. 50/50 sounds splendid. But let's not sweep the statement guy made under the rug like he never uttered that he'd take less money to make the fight with Mayweather. Mayweather called his bluff and now taking the lesser purse isn't okay. Go figure.

I'm with the boycott and I've been a boxing fan for years. I will not even watch Floyd vs Canelo or Manny vs Cotto.

What would it prove in the realm of boxing? And how much money do they need?

If they were really smart (and not just greedy) Manny and Floyd would fight on free tv and sell ads to make money. It would be bigger than the Super Bowl (but they would only gross about 25 mill each).

We've been saying this since last year man, and people don't care. Do your part, I'm with you and I know others are, but but don't expect any large scale support, even if they claim they support the idea.

Yeah, it sucks. What these fans who take sides don't realise is that we do actually have the power to make this fight if we stood up to this nonsense. Other sport fans are able to unite but as long as *****s and *******s keep justifying why 50/50 is not fair on Floyd or why a Cotto re-match is acceptable fight for Pac, we will never get this fight.

I actually and finally believe this isn't happening. Arum's talking of November now but Floyd's going to prison for 3 months from June.

May 5th is the best date. So FLoyd better accept 50/50 so it can be done May 5th.

All I have ever said, is that you are jumping to conclusions, and need to wait until this plays out.

That's the thing..... this has not played out yet.

Mayweather called Pac out TWICE on issues that have played out, the OSDT's and the money..... let's wait until this plays out because the issue is still the date, not the split.

If they agree to the split, the fight will not happen because they will not agree on the date..... and because this has not yet played out it is possible (even highly likely) that this is just leverage on the date.

The split is likely Mayweather's only leverage on the date, we will know in the next few days.

Mayweather called out Pac twice, the score is 2-0 to Mayweather.

But if the split issue is not leverage, then Mayweather just ***ed up big time.

We need to wait and see.

You assuming that Mayweather's bottom line is that he will not agree to 50/50 is totally against the run-of-play, because.....

* Mayweather has agreed to 50/50 since 2009
* He has clearly gone out of his way to make the fight
* If Manny really wanted that fight like he has been saying for the last two years, then he would agree to May 5th
* If Manny really wanted that fight like he has been saying for the last two years, and he was serious when he said this..... "making that fight is more important than the money"..... then he would agree to May 5th

The ball is now in Mayweather's court, he needs to make a public statement, or say that he will accept 50/50 if Team Pacquiao agree to May 5th.

I congratulate some of the Floyd fans for calling out Floyd on this one but you keep on saying "but Manny said he would take less .... and show us links .... "

You need to go back to your posts because you keep on defending Floyd by referencing that Manny was willing to take in less as indicated in the articles that you had to point out to all of us.

Where were you when Arum was blocking this fight from happening because he wanted to make more money? Were you one of the ones calling Manny a ducker and/or coward?

Now Floyd is saying he is ready to block this from happening because Floyd wants more money.
