    He does it to himself.

I have absolutely no idea why Floyd Mayweather would publicly stomp all over Bob Arum and Top Rank for 2 weeks straight, then turn around and email a random anchor on Sportscenter to tell him this babble about a 50/50 split. I didn't want to believe that he was that ******, but after his camp suddenly got quiet coupled with these new tweets, it turns out that he probably is that ******.

Again, I don't necessarily fault him for going after a bigger piece of the pie - thats what you do in negotiations, but if it turns out that he refuses to fight Pacquiao because he doesn't want to take a 50/50 split, then I'm done with both him and Pacquiao.

As far as I'm concerned, Pacquiao has still exposed himself as a complete hype job and a puppet, but Floyd, as big of a fan of his boxing skills as I am, continues to expose himself as a dumb ass.

Pac said he would take less, but now changed his mind and now wants 50/50.. How is that different from Floyd saying he wants 14 days cutoff to full testing without cutoff..

It seems clear to me that the media, casual fans who does not have any emotional attachment to both fighters believes that this fight must be made at a 50/50 split. Not to mention in the first negotiations when both camps actually sat down and discussed believed that 50/50 is fair..

If anything differs from that as far as the sharing of the purse, then its a new road block, which in my opinion is a deal breaker, thus would never get this fight made..Floyd is solidifying his status as the guy who is preventing this fight taking place, just when you thought he was winning the PR battle..

I cant agree with the whole statement but to choose the date and place in THIS fight, your not helping this fight get done by making this stand. The timing of it makes no sense at all,and its really on some sick joke type stuff considering the way every one has been supporting Floyd in his attempts to make this fight happen.

Me too, especially JMM-Peterson. Those would be highly entertaining, technical bouts. Landslides more competitive than the guy's ass whoopin' day.

Trust, I hear you and agree that 50/50 is great, but the fact remains that this clown said he'd take the smaller cut after Mayweather called him out, so what's changed that would make him backtrack? Kinda obvious.
My point is that Floyd called Manny out at a time when he was under the impression that there would be a 50/50 split. Again, it's a bytch move for Manny to all of a sudden go against what he said and ask for a 50/50 (he shouldn't have said he'd take less anyways) but Floyd should accept the 50/50 because that's what he thought the split was going to be at the time when he first called Manny out. On top of that it's petty as ****. After Floyd beats him he can demand 70% in the rematch.

These are negotiations. Check your emotions, let them play out. We'll hear something very soon. I'm still holding out hope, **** it.

                Again for the uninformed...

"Arum gets a big cut of the back-end profits from Poochi's fights because as his promoter he take the risk in staging the event. Floyd is self promoted, therefore it's his risk, his money being used, so he gets to keep all of his profits on the back end.

Example, if the Cotto/Margarito fight would have been canceled, Arum would have taken a huge loss due to promotional expenses, purse guarantees, ect...

                Understand?

Poochi cannot be guaranteed the same amount of profit in $$$$ with Floyd on paper, because of two different business models.

Poochi is getting a percentage taken out of his earnings for having a "MIDDLE MAN" in Arum, where as Floyd does not."

Telling a guy who has more PPV buys in his last two fights then your last two fights when and where he has to fight and how much he's gonna make is not negotiating. Its putting up "take it or leave it terms".

No wonder Arum isn't playing ball with this clown.
