You're comparing apples and oranges though. Martinez is willing to go down to a weight that might be extremely hard and uncomfortable for him to make. He's taking away his one true advantage which is size to face these guys. If Floyd would have fought JMM at 140 or even at 138 he wouldn't have caught as much flak -if any- in his fight against JMM.

If Martinez would be asking Floyd or Pac to meet him at 157 or higher then yes your point would be valid.

And, Pac did get some flak for JMM, maybe not as much as Floyd but he got some.
