I want nothing short of 154, I guess Jros was right in that Floyd would go with 150 especially if Martinez is asking for it, to me, it's a dead fight at 150 though.

I always thought it was Floyd.

Maybe Martinez sounds a little frustrated because they already tried to negotiate with Mayweather?
      Agreed 100%.

He tried so hard the past year or 2 already, hes tired of the chase. He even made a rediculous offer of 150lbs, which is ****** on his part but understandable for the money and glory.

He did probably get burned chasing right before the Macklin fight and will not be hosed again. So he just fights Macklin and gets Fvked on the scale in November. 150 sucks, its a lose lose situation for Floyd. I think 160 is also very unfair to Floyd, so 154 is the best weight IMO.

And like someone else said, Ortiz came in at 165 against Floyd, Martinez came in a 164 against Barker.

I think floyd has no choice but to give into the 50/50 split. Who else would be a possible match? If the pacman fight does not go through pac already chose cotto for plan b. He said he doesn't know who guerro is and said camelo is not ready yet. So who else is there.

Right. He hasn't fought at welter in a decade and he's been as high as 160.

154 sounds like the perfect weight, I do believe Floyd could overcome Sergio at 160 but that would be a tough tough task.

154, I'm with you. I think 160 would really be pushing it for Floyd. But the historical significance would be great.

Floyd caught hell for fighting JMM who is naturally smaller, Pac caught no flak at all for fighting JMM, and Sergio is running around chasing Pac & Floyd like a two-dollar whore, instead of going after the guys in his division and higher.

I would have a little more respect if Sergio was targeting above his weight class, but not below ....

.............Floyd didn't go down to Lightweight or Jr Welterweight to fight Marquez

Martinez is willing to go down to 150!

it's not the same thing at all

your comparison and points are invalid

I'm now against Martinez vs. Pacquiao, as Pacquiao now has his work cut out for him and didn't perform well in his last two performances, so I say kill that fight. I'm not at all against Mayweather-Martinez, I'd like to note that Martinez entered the ring weighing 166 against Barker, 2 pounds more than Ortiz weighed against Mayweather and mind you...that was at MW. At 154, I would expect him to come in less than that. As I've been saying Martinez isn't that big and anyone who enters the ring weighing 166 should not be considering 168. At 154 we have great fight, one in which Martinez would be challenging himself as well.
