You don't wins rounds by just slipping and moving either, Byrd won about 2 rds in my estimation defending= doing nothing in regards to scoring.

But to expound on that, Vitali didn't even make an attempt to avenge his disgraceful loss, he knew Byrd had his number. He flat out refused to accept a rematch offer by Byrd back in '04-'05 back when both were the #1 and #2 Heavyweights in the world and both held titles at the same time. But instead opted to fight 2 one-hit wonder journeyman and then retire for 4 years until Byrd was washed up and no longer a threat.

Chris Byrd: "Vitali Klitschko is a Joke"

      By Rick Reeno

Chris Byrd in an interview with Boxing writer Tim Smith, called WBC heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko a joke. He said that Danny Williams was nothing more then a punching bag and he hopes to get Vitali in the ring again.

"Did you see Frankenstein in that ring? I hope I get to fight him. He's a joke. (Williams) was a 270-pound punching bag. I wish I had that kind of punching bag in my gym." said Chris Byrd

At the moment, Byrd vs. Klitschko 2 is the biggest fight in the heavyweight division. There has been contradicting reports over why the rematch has not been made. The Klitshcko camp claims that King wants options on the fight winner and King has denied those claims.

DEFENSE is a scoring criteria. The BODY & HEAD are a scoring area, which Byrd landed on at about an equally consistent rate as Vitali throughout the whole fight. GLOVES & AIR are NOT a scoring area which is what was Vitali landed on for most of the fight.

Byrd even landed the more snapping, harder punches in the fight, which is beyond hilarious. He knocked Vitali backwards with shots more often than the other way around. Infact, i can't think of one time where Byrd was actually moved backwards from a punch from Vitali.

But Byrd only landed 8 less punches than Klit, backed him up almost as much as he was backed up and shamed him defensively. Surely you can agree these were close competitive rounds, right?

This is a black mark against Vitaly. He was winning the fight but he wasn't dominating it. To quit is one thing, even understandable to a degree. To not seek out the rematch is shameful. Byrd took this fight on a weeks notice, in Vitaly's adopted home country and made him look foolish while walking out the ring and leaving the country with Vitaly's strap. Klit promised the crowd he would get his belt back, in other words avenge his setback to Byrd. Instead he avoided him with unfounded excuses. I like Vitaly, but his ducking of a Byrd rematch will always be a black eye to him and much more shameful than the actual loss.

                I like Vitaly, but....

Man, I'll give you credit. You never give it up. Vitali vs Byrd, Vitali vs Lennox, Vitali vs steroids.

Maybe next you can get on the "Vitaly (sic) ducked Valuev" train.

With friends like you, Vitali doesn't need enemies. Since you and your ilk are convinced and have been all along, and those on the other side are never going to agree with you, I'm not sure what the point of this crusade is.

But carry on, it's highly entertaining.

JAB, what keeps me wondering is: You agree that Byrd only won 1-2 rounds (though closely) and spend a lot of time arguing with people who think he won 0-1 rounds, but you don't lose a word to that Deontay ass-kisser who thinks Byrd won 5 rounds and got robbed. That's a little double standard if you ask me.

As usual you can't refute a thing I've said.

No son, it would be a double standard if I agreed with him in one post and disagreed in the next. His opinion has nothing to do with mine.

Can you refute anything I have stated here today or are you just going to blow hot air?
