Yeah, I agree. And agree to what works best for both parties. Ok.

      Funny though.....i guess
What's wrong with that date and site?

You really want to someone to go through all of the excuses? or would you like the short version of what's wrong with that date?

However, when one side had one date, and the other side has another date, one of the parties will be dictated to. Arum is demanding late May, while Floyd is demanding May 5th. One side will have to agree to the other's demand, and then he will be accused of being dictated to by the other side.

You have to look at the reasons (excuses) Arum had for not wanting to agree to the May 5th. date. If Arum wanted to make the fight (which he clearly does not want to do) then he would agree to May 5th. and extract some concession from Floyd's side.

I got it! Manny agrees to May 5th. and Floyd agrees to let Manny come into the right after Floyd does. Floyd can also agree to allow Manny to be "announced" after him.

That's what it took for Gerry Cooney to Fight Larry Holmes. Larry was Champ, but Cooney was announced last.

            • this translates in english to:ARUM IS A GREEDY ****.
as far as floyd having legal obligations to hold an event at mgm grand on 5th of may, hmmmm...this can be true if money already deposited is secured against an event for that date then, he would be "legally" obligated to stage "an event" or else meet the full payment for the venue(subject to vegas rules ofcourse).
floyd probably could delay the event without losing money but, talk of building a stadium of some description to host the fight elsewhere in vegas would severely piss mgm off and i think the only way through is to stage it there at a later date in may.
failing this, i believe my man should provide bonifide proof that the legal obligation exists.
bob wont want to do this because he is a greedy little lying **** lawyer.
and he says floyd greedy? floyd dont seem to be all that concerned about the gate, he knows it ppv that will create bux, thats why hes called money.
and ole bob is known as pissy pants.

Nah just pointing out the sheer ******ity of this argument.

                  • I hope either Mayweather and his lawyer try to change the date to late May or Arum tries to work in May 5. I get the impression niether side is immovable and that both dates can work with a bit of negotiating. Both sides are still considering the fight in May. But I think Mayweather's legal bindings are not to the court considering the transcripts....but to MGM.

                    • But you do the arithmetic – a venue more than twice the size of the MGM Grand means you bring in more than twice as much money.
It doesn't work that way. It's called diminishing returns.
