Reports have begun swirling Wednesday evening of the official death to any chance of Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather squaring off the in the spring. The majority of the uproar stemmed from a breaking story by Chris Mannix of Sports Illustrated quoting Bob Arum as saying Pacquiao’s return will come on June 9 in an outdoor stadium to be built on the Las Vegas Strip.

Got proof? Yes. The vow renewing ceremony was canceled at the behest of jinkee pacquio. Was I there? No. A number of manny fans actually clarified the story for me. Btw you guys must be mad ****** to belive what Arum is saying. Maybe there's a chance the judge didn't say u have to fight exactly on May 5th, lets say that's true. It doesn't change the fact that Mayweateher already signed a contract to fight on that day. He's locked in with the MGM, who says MGM is even free to be booked on a later day? And how is Floyd expected to have the biggest fight of his life the last week of May, and then go to jail 3 days later? Are you kidding me? You think that would ever fly? You won't find any commission that will allow you to take part in a boxing match of that calibre when u have to be in jail in 3 days. What if he gets KO'd, injured, cut, any list of things that would prevent his jail sentence. Even psychologically that's too close to the date, knowing you can't even celebrate cuz u got jail in 3 days. Plus no ****ing investor, judge, or television program is going to let the biggest fight of all time take place on a TENTATIVE DATE in a stadium THAT's UNDER CONSTRUCTION and not even built. You know how many things can go wrong, yeah we'll say fight is on for May 26th...one thing goes wrong and the stadium gets pushed back and you have to scrap the whole fight. No one is that ****** to let this happen. All for an extra 2-3 mil in revenue? if they're lucky. Its not like you sell tickets in a 38,000 arena for the same price as a 18,000 seat arena, especially not MGM's. Floyd sold 15,000 seats at MGM and made 15mil, Pac vs Cotto sold 17,800 and made 8 mil. Arum is a lying **** don't listen to him for ****s sake. And May 5th has always been the biggest day for boxing, u lose a small figure by changing it from that date, not huge but it would make up for the loss in live gate revenue, I assure you it would.
