Do you think Miguel Cotto would fight Sergio Martinez at 150 though? He wanted Margarito at 150, i'm sure he can make 150 right now. It's a bad fight for Mayweather because he's so much better than Cotto, but for Cotto it would be the fight of his life, and probably the beating of his career. Do you think he'd take this bull**** cw fight if Martinez offers it to him?

The point is Corrales split title fights with Joel Casamajor two years after he fought Floyd. In one of those fights he was two pounds under 130.If he couldn't make 130 in 2001 how the hell did he make it two years later? What part of that don't you understand?

If Dibella said than, then he's a liar. Plain and simple.

come down to 150.. aint that some ****..

hey floyd, drop down to 140 and see how drained you feel..

floyd is the best in the business..

no reason he cant fight sergio at 160

skills pay the bills, he can come in at 155 and sergio is around 158

that is an even playing field

isnt that why floyd wants testing for an even playing field but he drains a

dude down to an uneven playing field

          bad move floyd...
Floyd can't make no 155 fool lol

            • This site is full of hating ass women. Floyd is being challenged @ 150 he's not asking for a catch-wt. Dumbasses need to go back to school so they can know the difference between the two.

I agree with that but I just don't like catchweights.

                • Martinez should call his bluff and say yes to 150.

                  • Yes Floyd fought Oscar at 154 that's because Floyd didn't have a choice cuz' he really wanted to fight Oscar. Oscar called the shots, not Floyd. If Floyd was as big then as he is now. Or if Floyd had his way he probably would have fought Oscar at 147 or even at a 150. But, he wasn't as big of a star as Oscar so he couldn't call any shot.

Floyd calls the shots now. Not Martinez, if Martinez had his way he would make Floyd go up to fight in a higher weight. But, Martinez doesn't call any shots. Floyd does, and if Martinez opened his mouth of 150 and Floyd holds him to it. Then Martinez doesn't really have a choice if he really wants to fight Floyd. And, would have to meet him at whatever weight Floyd says. Or Martinez can easily fight someone else is that simple.

Floyd weighed in at 149 against Baldomir, that was the last fight he had unofficially weigh himself for, then didn't weigh himself again until the Ortiz fight, in which he weighed in something like 150 or whatever.

In the De La Hoya fight, Floyd was supposedly huge, looked the biggest he'd ever been, even bigger than in the Marquez fight. Turns out the rumors are that he was actually just 149 on fight night, don't take it from me, BPP said that. Although HBO didn't weigh either of the two fighters that night.

Now to the good part....why in the hell, would Floyd weigh right around 147-151 on fight night on all of his welterweight bouts tracked by HBO's unofficial weigh in's, but when he didn't weigh in for a couple of years, people suspect he was weighing in at 180 pounds, then in his first fight back to the unofficial scales, at an older age, and an age where it would make sense for him to rehydrate more on fight night, 34 years old...comes in weighing 150lbs.

Makes no sense to me. If Floyd is ever gonna weigh at 160 on any fight night, now is the time, at this age. But the truth is, and i'm only saying facts, I only speak with facts, the truth is, the only proof of Floyd's weigh in's, show him coming in at 147-150, even at the advanced age of 34 years old.

People don't stop to think, that maybe Floyd looked like The Incredible Hul[that's how they're making it out to be] against Marquez, because Marquez is just that damn small compared to Floyd. And that's exactly how Floyd would look if he shared the ring with Pacquiao, who is the same size as Marquez.

Floyd coming in at 160 for Marquez, should be a myth added to Ancient Aliens on the History Channel. Because, to think that, I think it's out of this world.

floyd weighed 152 for de la hoya and lost two lbs unnoficially on the HBO scales if memory serves me right

that was a long time ago, but that's what i remember. i havnt rewatched the fight a boatload, and rarely do the youtube versions you see have that part of the broadcast

his fight with marquez was coming off of the longest layoff of his career

to assume that he couldnt weigh 155-160 is at least as much of a leap as to assume that he could

the fact remains that he missed weight by two full lbs and refused to re-weigh

there have been plenty of cases of fighters altering the amount that they rehydrate depending on the opponent
i'm certainly not the only person to speculate that floyd padded his advantage in size by walking into the ring heavier than he had previously

and obviously it cannot be overstated that he had not boxed for nearly two years
