Boxers, even great ones, can be afraid of other boxers. Not in the sense that they are afraid of getting hurt, but in the sense that they don't want to risk the loss on their records.

Guys duck certain fighters because of their styles. For example, Joe Frasier was great, but he always managed to avoid big punchers (Lyle, Shavers, etc.).

Arum is clearly afraid to match Manny with Floyd because he believes, in his heart, that Floyd would win. In fact, I think Arum truly believes Bradley would beat Manny.

One things for certain, Arum wants to match Manny with fighters under contract with Top Rank. That way, when Manny loses or retires, Arum will still have the victor under contract. Face it, all fighter eventually lose or retire undefeated.

At this point in Manny's career, once he loses, he retires to politics. That's why Manny is afraid to fight Floyd, he wants his last fight to be a win.

Finally, all lower weight fighters are obviously afraid to move up too high in weight. For instance, Floyd is clearly afraid to fight heavyweights because he knows he would get beat. There's no shame in that. That's why they have weight classes.

Manny is afraid to fight Floyd because he knows he would get beat. If not, why does he refuse to fight Floyd on May 5th?

Well isn't Manny saying it's late May or nothing? Isn't Arum trying to dictate his date? One thing is for certain, Arum is refusing to negotiate until Floyd first agrees to late May.

Also, Floyd has to negotiate in the media because Manny is hiding behind Arum and not saying anything but "my manager makes the fights."

Arum is so ruthless that I believe he signed Bradley to take Manny's place. I think Arum believes Bradley can beat Manny I also believe he's setting Cotto's dumbass up to fight the much bigger, stronger Chavez Jr. just like word is he's trying to throw Margarito in with Chavez Jr. Arum doesn't give a **** about nobody but himself. If Floyd was a Top Prank fighter Manny's ass would've been fried a long time ago. Floyd and Oscar figured that out early in the game and got out of there. Actually Pac's side have been trying to make this fight since November 2009 and then came the extra special drug test demands and retirements and etc. etc. I hate to break it to you but there is only one of these two guys with a reputation for ducking in and out off the ring. Hint, its the guy who has only fought 4 times in almost five years and one of those was against a woman his BM.... How was Manny able to make a fight with a retired guy or a guy that wasn't thinking about boxing???? Not to mention what happened when Arum went public and gave Mayweather a month to negociate a Pac fight before they signed with Margarito??? Only to have mayweather come out a week or two later with that Ortiz crap???? How quickly people forget or they just remember what they want to. We would have had the fight already if it wasn't for Mayweather's Extra Drug Test, Mayweather's Retirement, Mayweather's I'm not thinking about boxing right now.... But yet you want to blame the guy that has never retired and fought more WW than Floyd despite being younger and coming to the division almost four year after Floyd....
