Originally posted by mikemurni View PostAnd Floyd so called challenge didn't actually have a offer letter in black and white that came with it.. So in other words, he is just blowing smoke to make you think that he actually wants to fight Pac..
left to do is accept the challenge and have the contract drawn up
and signed.

This is the same Floyd who didn't want people putting words in his mouth a few weeks earlier mate.
But mind you, I don't believe either fighter's afraid of the other, that's ******.
I just thought that's what the guy was referring to, Floyd's not the most consistent talker out there. I maybe wrong on what he pertains, but I maintain what he said was true.
That's all there is, but I'll leave it up to him, since he said it himself.

Its funny are talking about dates, when they havent even made any real effort and discuss the more important terms like testing, PPV sharing, penalties, etc.. And yet people are all pumped about the date the fight..lol
Neither one of these guys are scared of each man. To be a boxer ...its not in you to have that fear; of another man. your fear is other things. Not of the man. If that was true neither would have made it this far in their career. They wouldnt have made it out of their training in the amateurs.
all freaked out over a date that isnt set is funny!

Originally posted by thatnickuh View PostIf Arum is not saying "Yes, we accept Mayweather's May 5th challenge" then the answer is "No, we don't accept Mayweather's challenge". All that nonsense about late May and early June is nothing but an excuse. If Mayweather is truly plan a then they would be doing what's necessary to make the fight for May 5th. I see why you're a Team Pacquiao fanatic, you lie just like they do. I haven't pointed out or said that Mayweather is like Arum and has a history of flip flopping/lying like Arum does. I even made it clear that there's no comparison between Mayweather and Arum when it comes to BS after you tried to equate the two sides. I'm aware of one instance where Mayweathee flip flopped or contradicted himself while there are countless instances of Team Pacquiao not only contradicting themselves but flat out lying.
How can he make an offer if Arum and company refuse to sit at the table genius? Plus according to Pacquiao, the points of contention have been resolved. Pacquiao has claimed that he will agree to the random blood testing along with taking the smaller purse. That means that all there should be
left to do is accept the challenge and have the contract drawn up
and signed.
To be perfectly honest, you are. People want to get mad at Arum when he's only acting in his own best interest. He doesn't have any obligation to boxing or it's fans to make the Pacquioa Mayweather fight. His only obligation is to appease his fighters and himself. Pacquiao allows him to run his BS and the public falls for it. If anyone is to blame it's people like you for being dumb/easily manipulated.
I'm not believing any statements. All I know is this, Mayweather has publicly called out Pacquiao for May 5th, and either Pacquiao will accept the challenge or he will duck it. Making a counter offer isn't accepting a challenge.
Pac accepted his challenge, and said he would want to fight Floyd. And they said they could fight in May.. So what is holding up Floyd from making a deal.. Because if its the date that is preventing Floyd to go to the table and negotiate, then he is not serious of making the fight either..
The truth is if you want to blame Pac for not taking the May 5th fight, then you should also blame Floyd for not taking the end of May.Last edited by mikemurni; 01-17-2012, 12:15 PM.

“Right now I would say that that wasn't a good development,” continued Arum:” If they want to do the fight they will have Richard Schaefer or anybody call me and we will have a meeting and we won't tell the press and we will see if we can put the fight together. That’s the way adults deal. I am not going to deal with the rhetoric. Let's see if we can get the fight done. Let’s see if we can get the fight signed and then Mayweather can run his mouth as much as he wants, but let's get it done first.”

BoxingScene.com: [Golden Boy Promotions President] Oscar De La Hoya has claimed that Richard Schaefer tried to call your office several times to make this fight, and nobody returns his calls.
Arum: Now wait a second. It's the same as you, calling me, and saying 'I want to do this fight, I'm promoting Mayweather, let's sit down and talk.' I wouldn't do that because I don't know if you're representing Mayweather or you aren't. You don't have a contract with Mayweather and neither does Schaefer. Schaefer has done some promotions for Mayweather for a fee, but that doesn't mean he's representing him on this type of situation. Looking at it from Mayweather's perspective, with money this large, I wouldn't want to go naked and fight on a percentage. I would want a substantial guarantee. I know people have called me and said they talked to Mayweather and they were prepared to put up a guarantee, but I don't know if it's true or if it isn't true. It's not my f**king business. It only becomes my business when Mayweather says 'I want to do the fight and these are the people representing me because I made a deal with them.'

pu55y boy floyd should be plan z as far as i'm concerned.
look at him. he hasn't grown up. he still acts as a teenager. i don't see what's wrong with contacting his friend todd duboef to start the ball rolling. he has to be cajoled, caressed, pacified, convinced, persuaded, you name it, to make him enter formal negotiations. there's no diplomatic blood in his veins. negotiations had to be in a very contentious manner. he's close to retiring again and he has no desire of making peace with the world. how many jail terms this guy needs to see himself in the mirror?
can't wait to see this guy retire again.
