yeah he beat an untested prospect for a vacant belt. he hasn't done anything since. anyone could look good against nobodies. i'm not saying pirog is shit, he's actually pretty damn good. but he isn't no solid name martinez needs to fight. he's on the same boat as quillin imo, just guys trying to get to the top and still need to make their way there. asking for a martinez fight is great, but if you don't get it don't sit around and do nothing about it. i mean quillin is at least doing something by beating mcewan and possibly landing a fight with lee. what's pirog doing since the geale fight fell through?

no, i wouldn't go that far and say this. pirog has deff looked good in most of his pro fights and looks to be a serious opponent, but it's just not enough to make him a monster like these martinez haters are claiming him to be. he does have the best chance at beating martinez at MW but he just isn't someone martinez needs to face. i mean yeah it would be good to see but i think pirog needs a bit more time (hopefully to face some top names) and show he is the best behind sergio and then that fight can truly be made. hopefuly it'll be pretty big when/if it does happen.
