Well Macklin beat Sturm, anyone who watched that fight knows it.

Of course you didn't watch it cause it didn't involve a couple Latino's beating each other up.

Macklin is a higher class of opponent than Michael Jennings, Alfonso Gomez, Yuri Foreman or Mayorga. All opponents Cotto has handpicked for himself.

Macklin would probably have little problem with a 1 eyed Margarito. He would stand and fight too instead of running like Cotto did.

Lol yeah, I mean he did a good job against Jacobs but he's not the great thing everyone has been mentioning... Martinez has done a lot more than Pirog by beating Pavlik, Williams, Dzinziruk, etc ... Now everyone is complaining that he's fighting Macklin and I really don't get it, even though Macklin was not so good against Baron he did a great job against Sturm and IMO he won that fight, that should be enough to consider Macklin a good opponent.
