That's not a counter-offer. That's just another way of saying no. The prison term was postponed solely on the basis of the May 5 date and was postponed by just enough time to give Mayweather time to prepare for the prison term after the fight. Furthermore Arum has no valid reason for saying no to May 5. Two weeks ago when he thought Floyd would be safely locked up on May 5, Arum said he was hoping to stage Pac-JMM on May5, then when the prison term is postponed he suddenly comes up with several ridiculous excuses which even Pacquiao doesn't support for why that date is impossible. how tf can mayweather secure a date at a site without even negotiating with his opponant first? the only reason this ***** secured a may 5th date was because he knew his as was going to jail and had to do his bs with securing this may 5th date...and how the state of neveda was willing to move back the *****s jail sentence just so that vegas will benefit from the fight, is utterly ridiculous...what happened to the american judicial system? is it about laying down the law or about money? total b/s
btw, if the state can delay the sentence becuase of the may 5th date, i dont see any reason why they cant amend the jail date to a later part of june, just so a temp stadium can be built and ready at the ending part of may to secure an even much bigger gate and an additional 40 mil can be made??? this fight is mega, so why wouldnt team ***** want this fight in a bigger venue with more garantedd money on the line? it doesnt make sense at all...or ***** is just using this as an excuse not to fight pac...i mean, this ***** calls out pac but dont want to change the date two weeks later, which creates an even bigger piece of the pie
