I think Cotto would win a competitive fight. Alvarez has just never fought a sharp puncher like Cotto, I don't know how he would handle it. But the kid has an unbelievably impressive offensive arsenal and he's all man so I know he'd at least be competitive.

I think it's a great competitive fight. It's hard not to take Cotto but Alvarez is bigger and fresher. I slightly favor Canelo. I would love to see that fight.

Cotto beats the crap out of Canelo. Cotto's much less talented and smaller brother had Canelo on ***** street and Gomez was beating his ass. Get real here Cotto would pick this kid apart the only chance he would have is a lucky shot.

I'm not hating on Cotto, but Canelo was the only guy ever to stop Cotto jr. and that was about a year and a half ago. Canelo is a little more defensive now I've noticed.

Don't know what folks have against Cotto on this site. He's a much better boxer than he is given credit for, imo. He keeps winning and few seem to pay attention. There's always some way to discredit him it seems.

Imo, there is some danger to Cotto in this fight because Canelo has good power, throws nice combinations and Cotto seems to always be one perfect combination away from disaster (that's part of the fun for me).

Having said that, I find it highly likely that Canelo will be outclassed by a superior boxer at this point in his development arc and will thus fail to land the aforementioned combination.

Cotto schools Alvarez for a late stoppage that will be immediately discredited.

Alvarez takes the whuppin' like a man, learns from it and continues on to a comfy place in the upper tier of current boxing earners.

I dont think itll be too bad I think itll definitely gurantee to be a war rather then a dominating performance. I think Cotto wins a decision in an instant classic though. That would be a ****in crazy fight that I hope happens after hopefully pac grows the balls to fight floyd may 5th.
