IMO Cotto is vastly overrated and really unproven at the higher weight. Part of his ranking is based on his history at WW. I don't know....could be a lot closer. A Super Four tourney at Super WW would be just awesome. I can see Molina beating either one (especially Canelo)....So many talents at that weight division.

A very competitive fight.... Offense vs offensive.... Explosiveness vs timing... Decent speed vs decent speed.. Good power vs good power, youth vs experience...

Cotto isnt too old, and Canelo isnt too green...

I would enjoy this fight, and would slightly favor Canelo based on work rate..

It would be a fairly evenly matched fight in my opinion. Cotto is past prime and a relatively small Junior Middleweight as compared to Canelo where he is a rather larger Junior Middleweight but lacks experience. I think Canelo might win a couple rounds in the beginning but he will gas and Cotto will bust him up to a late TKO.

Cotto is more proven as a fighter than Canelo is.. Cotto may be overrated, then again so is Canelo.

Both can be underrated as well... It all depends on who is doing the rating , and what the rating is..

How is Cotto underrated at that weight division? I am not talking WW division here. Who has he really beaten so far?? Margarito? Mayorga? Foreman!?
Both at this point is unknown quantity at that weight division. Neither faced a top 4-5 at that division.
