Why put him against Mayweather when you could build him up against other fighters and expand his record.

Plus, a fight with Chavez down the line will be so much bigger if they are both undefeated.

I really hope it's not Canelo, man.
To me it seems they've run out of options.
Who is there to put in a fight with Floyd? Cotto yeah, but his status is unclear.

After the Marquez fight, Mayweather got a lot of stick for "fighting smaller guys". It even got to a stage where people said he "Always fight's smaller guys" (Obvious bull****)

But the fact is, Mayweather doesn't fight guys at the calibur of Guererro. Atleast not since he made it to the top. Which is why I always thought this fight wouldn't happen.

I don't think it will be Canelo either.

And as it stands, Cotto even looks unlikely

So, I'm really not sure who it's going to be.

I don't like any options other than Pac and Martinez but it seems none of those can happen so the best option for me but I still don't like it, is Cotto.
Yes, wich is totally unfair cuz we all know Marquez is bigger than Floyd, so was Hatton, and so is Manny, Mayweather only wants to fight bigger guys and made it clear he wants to fight Martinez.

Pacquiao team only picked opponents they knew they would beat.
            May team never did...

Because while Mayweather can and will beat him, he can't hurt/damage him, and the trade-off is that it makes his (Canelo's) name 10x bigger.

Hatton was 1 weight class below him. Hardly anything.

And he's not a small Jr WW either, he's strong as hell. His natural weight class also.

Marquez I agree is obviously the vastly smaller man.

But other than that, who else?

It hardly warrants people to say "He alway's fight's smaller guys' based off a single fight.

And don't put words in my mouth with that sarcastic bull**** because no where in my post did I insinuate that Mayweather always takes on absolute challenges as opposed to Pacquaio who never does.

I simply stated that saying he "Always fight's smaller fighters" is not true at all. Which it isn't.

Hatton walks around much heavier than Mayweather. And Manny is a welterweight. Period. Hatton started at 140. Mayweather 130.

But billyboxing you have always been as dumb as a rock and can't be objective if your life depended on it. Mayweather has moved up five times. That's not making a career fighting smaller guys.
