the problem is with a fight of this magnitude Golden Boy is going to want to get the fight signed as soon as possible, not wait around till march and see what happens. No way it will be kirkland, just based on timing alone (they aren't going to wait till March, what happens if Kirkland loses or is badly cut/injured?? You think they'll have Molina?? no way. then they'll have to scramble to find someone).

You guys watch, it will be shane mosley. he's available, will take a very small purse and it's something team canelo/golden boy have been talking about as a possible opponent for some time now, plus he has name value.

I think Mosley is the most likely option aswell.

I was dreaming with Kirkland. I mean, it's not out the question, it can happen, but like you said, no one is taking any risks with this card.

If you think about it, if Mayweather-Pacquaio would get signed now for May 5th it would be perfect.

Canelo-Mosley on the undercard.

Have Guerrero on there against someone.

Throw Kirkland in there (if he wins his next fight)

Plus, TR would obviously be involved so fighters from both stables could even fight.

This is the best time to make the fight, the potential undercard would be stacked.

What do you mean a fight of this magnitude? Floyd fight on May 5 is a fight of this magnitude not Canelo. Floyd alone will sell the PPV and Mexicans casual fans will buy it cuz' it will also have Canelo on it. Canelo would be the undercard. GBP wants to get the main event sign as soon as possible. Not the undercard.

Yes Canelo would be on the undercard but golden boy is going to want to have it seperate venues like they did last time, they will have Canelo fighting in Cali and Floyd in Vegas. If that's the case they are going to want to have a name in their with Canelo to sell tickets in LA. That's Shane Mosley. Again, golden boy isn't going to wait around till march.

I agree that it might be Mosley. But, that's because neither GBP nor Canelo have any real intentions in making that fight with Kirkland.

Promoters want to get things signed and done as soon as possible when they can. They are in no hurry to fight James Kirkland. Canelo vs James Kirkland will be it's own event. Golden Boy also likes to try to stack their cards...if they have a chance to get Shane Mosley, a very recognizable name on the undercard for a cheap price they will do it.

Good test? Lol Mosley and Cotto beats him , this kid is good no doubt but he is hyped way too much just because he is beating has Beens .. I think canelo plays right into moseys hand if he brawls , and Cotto picks Saul apart I have no doubt about that , the kid is nothing special

The following is a list of other good options that will not happen for one reason or another: Cotto (there's no way he's co-headlining for anybody at this point in his career; in all reality, he's the one who should be fighting Mayweather, not freaken Robert Guerrero) and Lara (he's very boring and doesn't have any name recognition that will warrant the risk of fighting him). That's all I can think of right now, but you guys get the picture.

Two more things, 1) I truly hope it's not against Mosely, and 2) I hope they put Angulo on the undercard. That is all.
